Las Cruces, New Mexico — This is about as self-explanatory a video as they come. It does, however, highlight something that happens surprisingly often and can be easy to miss: both the bank and the woman called 911, leading to confusion on the woman’s part over why the police were not there for her. It’s easy to get caught up in your experience of a situation, and to lose perspective as a result. When the police are called to a civil issue and receive a separate call about potentially criminal threats, the civil issue is going to wait.

  1. lady won the lottery really, this an easy win law suit right here lol i would fall to the ground and be like "dont touch me, call life flight! im having stress induced seizure! omg i think im suffering from back injury from falling from the siezure caused by the stress this bank has caused me!"

  2. Real world Police: I’m seeing all these comments and almost agreed with them until I thought again about what the description was talking about.
There were 2 911 calls. The victim called and was of course upset. But also the bank called because there was a threat about a Glock and something.
So when the police arrived they weren’t trying to not hear the victim but their priority was to figure out who made the threat, where was the gun etc. First priority is always to secure the scene. Make sure it’s safe for everyone then they can deal with the issue.
That’s my take on their initial response. That’s what I think RWP was trying to explain in the description. Initially you see it from the victim’s perception but there was another story to be considered. Is there a weapon at play? That’s the first concern for everyone’s safety.

  3. People need to find the name of this asshole cop and make complaints on him I am so mad watching this bullshit! From the very beginning of him thinking she was in a fight with the women who was really her sister he at no point listened or cared what she was saying. All he was interested in was finding some way of arresting her . She has every right to yell n be mad. I just fr can't get over how to his dumb fuk treated her (THE VICTIM) so sad.

  4. BTW Cop was soooo wrong here. He should be investigating the teller and the other employees for an inside bank job. When you're struggling, $500 bucks is a lot of money. I don't blame her one bit. The cop should have called the FBI to have them investigate a possible inside job. Then they should give her a stipend for all of her trouble as well as all of her money.

  5. The bank did a good job. She went nuts. Accidents happen. Can’t blame her for being mad. But threatening to shoot up a bank. No don’t do that.

  6. Wow. Those cops were pushing to get charges against the victim and they’re going to hear the thieves part of the story. Well his story is sketch, first he didn’t open the envelope, then he did and thought they gave him more money than they ask for and didn’t realize until he saw the ID. So did you open it or not bruh?! He def was going to try and come up of the banks mistake.

  7. File a complaint on this guy and sue the department if they don’t take the necessary actions to remove this guy from the police force !!!

  8. I’m for the cop you don’t go ballistic threaten people for a mistake that’s easily fixed. The bank will handle it. End of story.

  9. Listen, this lady has a reason to be upset; obviously. But she got herself nowhere by antagonizing the officers as soon as they arrived and threatening the employees. At some point they mentioned a threat of a gun that was threatened to be used? No one can blame her for being upset, but she could easily have handled this like a mature adult instead of ranting and raving and threatening and kicking doors. She's living in a complete fantasy world where she can scream and talk over people, condescending to the officers and the employees. And then has the nerve to play the "oh, we're black why don't you just shoot us." Jesus what an absolute Karen.

  10. THE WHITE POLICE OFFICER THAT DEALT WITH THE BLACK LADY WHOM ID AND MONEY WAS GIVEN TO AWAY TO THE WRONG CUSTOMER, IS TOTALLY RACIALLY PROFILING!
HE (OFFICER)IS TREATING HER LIKE SHE THE PERPETRATOR.
THEN THE BANK IS ALSO HANDLING IT LIGHTLY!
GUARANTEE YOU, A WHITE LADY POLICE WHAT HAD CALLED ALL POINTS BULLINTIN!…
    "SAD….
    "WHOM WOULDN'T BE ANGRY?
    AN WHITE PERSON?

  11. I mean they could have given her a credit until it was figured it out……you can't just tell your customer the other party is not answering WTF??

  12. Everyone involved could have handled this better. However, the bank had the best overall response, given the circumstance…. still a poor response. But of the three parties… if you watch the entire video, the bank handled this better than the other two parties.

  13. So Becky makes a $500 mistake and police try everything to make the victim look bad OK I got it,,, while she loses $500 and her drivers license,,, Bad police work

  14. It's a bank – they know they made the mistake so it's not like she won't get her money immediately. Yes her ID is gone for now and her balance, but she probably got herself in trouble with threats.

  15. Wow, I’ve never seen two women be more delusional. They think the bank did this on purpose and because they are black?! Yeah, the bank wanted all of this to happen. Give me a break. Some people just love to be the victim and cause problems. I understand why they are frustrated totally ..however they jumped to so many conclusions and used no common sense and assumed it was racism..with no evidence . God bless them
