Reno, Nevada — The Sparks Police Department released body-camera footage of a man killed Feb. 23 in an officer-involved shooting in south Reno. Police video shows Jacori Shaw, 23 suspected of firearms violations, who was also being sought for questioning in a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office homicide investigation, running from police who tried to detain him and who had a gun when a police dog caught him. The officers were working as part of the Regional Crime Suppression Unit when they tried to detain Shaw in a residential parking lot in the 5900 block of Talbot Lane.

Shaw was suspected of illegally having a gun, illegally carrying a concealed weapon, illegally firing a gun, and pulling a gun in a downtown Reno casino. Police found him in an apartment complex on Talbot Lane in the evening hours of Feb. 23 when he ran from officers prompting a brief foot chase. In the video, police can be heard giving Shaw multiple verbal commands to drop the gun. Police said Shaw pointed the gun at officers and that’s when they shot him. First aid was administered to Shaw on scene until paramedics arrived but he died on scene from a single gunshot wound, according to the coroner’s office. Police found he had a 9mm black handgun with an extended magazine.

  1. Thanks for the upload a day before my birthday! I don't need COPS or Live PD when I've got PoliceActivity. 👍👍

  2. I feel sorry for the cops that have to deal with those situations, everyone thinks cops join the force for a chance to kill someone but the reality is that when it happens you’re stuck with the memory for the rest of your life

  3. What always bothered me about cops arresting someone after they shoot them they want to pile on them and put their knees in his back he's already bleeding out why would you do that just roll them over and handcuff him.

  4. The cops all knew it was bad when the dude wasn't flinching from the horrible dog bites

  5. I have a question for everyone: I realize YT has a "violence/gore " initiative that limits what can be shown on YT videos. Sometimes they get away with blurring things out (which doesn't do much really) but many times things can't be shown. I realize there may be some "sensitive" viewers that don't want to see that sort of content. My suggestion is if there's a warning prior to the video then don't watch it–simple solution. I've recently been watching a bunch of Chinese auto/moped accidents (they drive worse than the Russians, which I didn't think was possible). Many of these videos are extremely gory & downright nasty (without blurring anything). I won't go into details but I'm wondering why YT allows these? Is it because they're supposed to be educational & show you how "not" to operate motorized transportation? I've seen children run over by vehicles & lots of other really narley crap. How is this allowed? Any thoughts?

  6. Who keeps reproducing all these criminals? If there like a queen human like in the insect word that mass produces savages? I don't get why the hell there are so many severely dysfunctional families that this has become so damn common anymore. It must be drugs.

  7. That cop who one shotted the suspect while not harming the dog is a legend. That dude was out before he hit the ground 😂 🤣
