Birmingham, Alabama — Birmingham police department released body camera videos that captured the fatal Easter Sunday shooting of a man following a pursuit on the city’s north side. Desmon Montez Ray Jr, 28, was fatally shot in the north Birmingham alley just before 11 p.m. on April 4. An officer was responding to a domestic disturbance inside a vehicle that was traveling in North Birmingham. Officers observed the car in question in the 300 block of 9th Avenue W and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The car, later discovered to be driven by Ray, did not stop and a police pursuit began. The car later came to a stop in the 200 block of 9th Avenue W after it collided with the fence line. Ray exited the car and fired one round at the officers. One officer then returned fire, striking Ray. First responders provided medical treatment to Ray while on the scene before he was transported to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died.

Last mistake that Lebum fan ever made!!!
Southern cops always seem more masculine. Strange.
Why couldn't that cop of shot him in the finger so he dropped his gun?? Poor policing….by the way I work for CNN
0:21 in and i already like this guy… Controlled bursts and he did a fucking cod slide 🥴🤣
The cop is black. Now what?
I can't believe that racist white cop did black face and disguised his voice to sound black just to HUNT down that poor black 9 year old that was just playing outside.
Good shit
It's almost impossible to put your hands up if you're laying on your stomach. Especially if you are not in a fit condition. Let alone shot.
So while I understand the police need to be very cautious of moving around. If someone is trying to position themselves in a way that they can put their hands up I think the officers also need to realize this.
And yes I understand the suspect put himself in this position for his actions that caused the situation. However as things play out these things can't be avoided and need to be taken note of.
Lame 😐
That was some good shooting.
Cop: Are you shot?
Lady: Nah, I just don't want y'all tramplin' on my flowers.
Black cop shot him. we wont see this on cnn

It's getting to the point where we can't even murder our own when they're cops anymore without getting shot at – Lebron James

Lebron Im black can I shoot at the black suspect?
Lebron: You have to let him shoot you first then when you almost bled out and you got a couple breaths left then and only then is your chance to open fire……maybe🤷â€â™‚ï¸
How do you get to be a cop, speaking "English" like that?
Doesn't fit narrative. Next.
That slide up to the car was some COD shit. Good job boys!
