Fairfield, California — On August 22, 2022, at around 1:50 p.m., Fairfield Police Officers were called by a citizen to the 100 block of Commerce Court, regarding a person possibly loitering and setting up camp. Two officers contacted the man, 43-year-old Robert Wilson. Wilson was known to officers after they had several past contacts with him, and he has had multiple arrests in previous years. When officers attempted to arrest Wilson, he was uncooperative and sped away in his vehicle. At least one of the tires was flattened when he fled, and the vehicle became disabled and stopped. Wilson immediately fled on foot from the vehicle and, while being chased by officers, pulled a handgun and pointed it at them. The video shows Officer Neal yell, “Drop it! Drop it!” before firing three times. Wilson was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No officers were injured during the incident. Wilson had a total of five (5) guns on his person, which turned out to be BB guns. A sixth gun was located in his vehicle.

  1. What do these guys these criminals actually think it’s going to happen when they’re running away and they’ve got a gun whether it’s real BB gun air gun it doesn’t matter I mean what kind of great result of a thinks gonna happen do they think they’re just gonna magically fly away and they’re not gonna be hunted down and arrested and that all the laws are going to be changed in their favor? This is what amazes me is that these guys always get themselves in these positions to even begin with. It’s just a long string of bad decisions and really poor thinking.

  2. How stupid do you have to be to drive through line of sight of an officer with his gun drawn? Welcome to Kalifornia…

  3. IN MY VIEW
This guy will have serious memories and physical pain of being shot because HE WAS STUPID pointing a gun at police. Deep respect for All Law Enforcement forced to make quick decisions when gun(s) are deliberately pointed at them.

  4. Just another example of police escalation.
There's no situation so bad that police won't make worse. When will people learn that?
    A call doesn't mean a crime.
In this day and age, I'm perfectly fine when blueisis tyrants don't make it home. For citizen safety.
Cop egos and lies ruin lives.

  5. Yet people still want to get pass. Be observant, anyone with common sense knows that street will be blocked off for awhile. First car should’ve initiated it until another unit got there.

  6. must have been a sovereign citizen bb gun he was carrying….cuz those are different than all other guns….they have more rights and are exempt from normal protocols during police encounters…

  7. 8. What race is he why does that matter that's scary because that dictates how they respond always unless there forced to use force & a white man with a gun I've seen some with white guys with a gun that didn't even get touched
