Reno, Nevada — On November 5th, 2021, at approximately 10:40pm, Reno Police Department patrol officers were involved in an Officer Involved Shooting in the 200 block of E Grove Street. Officers arrived on scene at an apartment on E Grove Street on the report of a domestic disturbance with what sounded like a male and female screaming, and possible shots fired. Uniformed officers knocked on the door, the door opened, and suspect Isaiah Herndon pointed a handgun in the general direction of the officers, firing at least one round at them. The two officers returned fire striking Herndon multiple times. Officers on scene provided medical aid to Herndon until medics arrived and transported him to Renown Medical Center. Herndon underwent surgery at the hospital and is in critical condition. On November 17th, Herndon was formally charged with two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Protected Person, and Own/Possess Firearm by a Prohibited Person.

Why does it seem watching cop shootings there gun jams?
Almost only counts with house shoes and hand grenades
He probably thought it was someone else 🤣🤣💀💀
I guessed the cast of characters before Quan ever opened da doe….
Scariest part is the officer's position in front of that window.
I still don't understand how these felons get guns, don't they know that's illegal?
Officer got lucky his partner cover him or else it could have been bad.
On this week's Reno 911, Jones and Garcia almost blow each other away.
🤦â€â™€ï¸. I swear some people WANT to be turned into bloody Swiss Cheese.
Heavy crossfire
Should’ve just said police once they got there Thts what they get
Those officers obviously failed their gun safety class. Even though you could say they weren't directly pointing the gun at each other, but any one of those bullets could ricochet.
Luckily he listened on the day they went over how to position yourself when knocking on any door.
pucker factor over 9000 on this one.
I think the officer induced a malfunction from panicking… there was absolutely no reason for him to gently pull the slide back on his pistol, it already had a fresh round in the chamber when he pulled on the slide… then he accidentally dropped the mag.. I'm not picking on the guy, that had to be scary as hell.
Love how he thought he was a bad ass until he got shot. I’m down I’m hit I’m sorry😆Humor aside at least he’s trying to compromise.
God Bless ALL the men and women who go willingly into situations like this.. Thank you for your service to your community.. ðŸ™â¤ðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸
I'm sure at least some of those rounds hit the dry wall inside that room. Would be scary to be the next room over
My man Herndon had a dream to star on Police Activity and went the extra mile to make it happen. Talk about almost dying for your art.
Watching that second officer accidentally eject his magazine is an interesting counterpoint to the officer in the last video that couldn't manage to get his magazine out – there is definitely a fine line between a mag release that is easy to use and one that is too easy to hit accidentally.
That's why I said:I don't care BLM,the most important thing is Police Lives Matter!
bruh at these types of calls, just put the gun to the back of the suspects head, and pull the trigger, we dont need trash like this in this world, take it out
Did that rookie cop just accidentally drop his magazine?
Next time might not be a next time
"I'm dying" What did he expect?
Lol good thing the 2nd clip showed him clear the jam and eject his magazine accidentally at the same time. Those walls looked pretty thick and the potential crossfire could've been deadly for either officer.
Only good jogger is a dead jogger
he just wanted to show them his shiny new finger pointer.
Officers should be paid in excess of $100k/yr to deal with this.
After watching this, all I have to say is F*** Queen james and kaepernik!!
Great job LEO'S. Cross fire was close but good aim !! Too bad he didn't take the ground temperature challenge
Neutralize the threat
Not his lucky day. Well the number 13 is on the door.
Why didnt they announce themselves while knocking on door….I thought that was protacol?
Damn crossfire. They should have been standing together
Dangerous approach. I hoped the officers would have been single-file; hand on shoulder from behind; eliminating the crossfire, which happened instantaneously. Hope the felon caught some lead !
I live like 4 blocks away from there. I hear gunshots all the time sheeeesh so this is what it was lol
The shooter yelled….I'm hit ,, yeah "….that is what happens when you point a gun at an officer. Dangerous job these officers have.
