Toledo, Ohio -@Cop Watch obtained body cam footage from an incident which occurred in April of 2020 where a Lucas County Sheriffs Deputy working overtime at a local Wal-Mart tazers a cab driver.
Reports say the deputy was contacted by Wal Mart management about the illegally parked cab so the deputy went to investigate. When the deputy contacted the cab driver the incident goes from bad to worse.
After the investigation was completed by internal affairs the deputy was found to have violated the departments use of force policy and given a verbal warning reprimand. The cab driver ultimately pled guilty to Disorderly Conduct.
The cab drivers attorney is now representing him in a separate lawsuit and put out this statement.

Notice the cop is frustrated the driver did all this at end of his shift meaning he would have more paper work to do and be home later. Youd think the cops would be more thrilled about getting a criminal off street until you realize this is an immigrant taxi driver on walmart's private property with no intention of committing a crime. Waste of taxpayer dollars.
No offense but this cop couldve deescalated the encounter. Plus the 4 to 5 other cops that show up is an indicator there is not a lot of crime occurring around the area; theyre bored and looking for some action.

The cop went from zero to 100 simply because of the taxi drivers skin tone. If the driver was white, the cop would have been nicer. And taken longer to get to 100

I hope the Taxi driver's lawyer sees this one. He might actually win the case and have the officer REPRIMANDED. That was disgusting, and I don't mean the poor suspect.
Sorry. This cop was an overly aggressive THUG in this one. That was WAY too aggressive. Would have made me so mad I actually…..I actually might have gotten physical. I would lose and be hit with a felony but that cop should NOT be wearing a badge. WAY too aggressive, I normally do NOT say this about police, but this cop actually pissed me off. I could not help it this time, that cop is a THUG.
