On March 30, 2019 Cleveland Police responded to a call for service. The frantic caller reported that their dog was hanging off the side of their house.

The dog was attached to the second floor balcony by its leash but still somehow fell over the side — resulting in this terrifying situation.

Responding officers were able to hold the dog so he could breathe as they worked to free him from his leash.

  1. Thanks to the other officers that pitched in by giving that officer all that moral support. Wait they didn't even do that? Oh they just stood there ok .

  2. Why TF wasn't someone there ready to catch the frightened and stressed out animal who had been hanging by it's neck for God knows how long? Then he gets dropped on it's head? Guys cutting him down=awesome. Those standing around and watching him drop on his head=douche bags

  3. All these people in the comments with the shoulda, coulda, wouldas, need to stop! When you're literally in the middle of a crisis mode? You are not thinking about what should I do, or what could I do. It's, get in there & get the job done. Period! That officer did an amazing job. End of story!

  4. im sorry they are all pretty stupid here. why didnt anyone just go upstairs and out the window on the porch itself???? why didnt they cut the leash from the porch ? and then, the finale where they dropped him face first into concrete

  5. My question is if the owners weren’t home how come they had the dog in a leash? You don’t keep your dog on a leash inside your house 🤔 I mean it’s definitely awesome they helped save the dog but it doesn’t make sense

  6. First off: I understand this was not the fault of the ones that called in.
Second: How the fuck does this happen? Leave the dog on the outside balcony with a leash whilst they were gone? Irresponsible owners.

  7. Drive car next to porch. Stand on top of car. Should make getting the dog down easier, and any fall shorter. Just a thought.

  8. The guy who was holding the dog did great, but his colleagues were shit, why couldn't one of them catch the dog or hold the guy up?

  9. Trigger warning… bad dad joke follows. Now that's the officer's doodie uniform🤣😂 I'll show my self off the nearest cliff now.

  10. Dude, home many times does he need to say give me your knife. What a crappy partner. And wise-ass dispatchers “well, you’re gonna have to put someone on your shoulders” he’s right, shut up radio.

  11. It should have said in the description that this was NOT their dog and that is why they could not get to the dog.
Thanks to those in the comments that cleared this up, instead of bashing the people in the video.

  12. Dispatch: somebody better sit on someone's shoulders..
Officer: * How about, shut up radio!

    😂😂😂😂
