Cleveland Police Department has faced a variety of criticisms in its investigation of assault allegations against now-former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt. This is the primary body-worn camera video capturing Cleveland Police Department’s investigation following its receipt of three 911 calls.

The events in this video took place on February 10, 2018, but nothing happened in Hunt’s career until November 2018 when TMZ published hotel security camera footage clearly showing Kareem Hunt pushing and kicking the party who reported the incident. In that video it is also clear that a member of Hunt’s party intentionally grabbed and ran off with the cell phone of one of the complainants, who later reported that her phone had been tampered with. She had been recording video of the conflict with Hunt.

Kareem Hunt was released from the Chiefs the day the security footage was made public, allegedly because he had lied to the NFL during its investigation.

Officers enter Kareem Hunt’s apartment at The 9 hotel at the end of this video, starting at 1:32:00 through the end.

  1. I’m wondering why the officer didn’t watch the security video when he walked in the hotel and was met by the security guard? It would have provided a lot of information right up front. Also since Kareem was involved the officer should have told the guy in the red bandana to go wake up His Highness and get his butt right down there.
The security guard wasn’t truthful at the beginning.
The guy in the red bandana lied about the whole scene.
The officer would have known exactly what happened in the assault if he had insisted on seeing the video right up front.
The girls were old enough to run around from bar to bar then back to the hotel in a party bus hoping to get laid by an NFL player so they certainly were old enough to answer police questions and shouldn’t have had every one treat them with kid gloves. They were not minors!
The guy recording didn’t care about the girls or his rights. Yes he can record without permission in PUBLIC. But not in a private establishment were there is an expectation of privacy. What he cared about was being the only one around filming an event that would soon make him some big bucks, the great Kareem Hunt fighting young girls. You can bet your bottom dollar he took plenty of pictures of those little scraps and cuts on the girls. He should have been patted down and his phone removed prior to being placed in the back of a police car!
The red bandana guy pushes his way into the conversation with the officer and the Sargent so his twisted tale could be heard and hopefully taken as fact before the girls could say anything. That’s the whole reason he came all the way outside in the rain because he knew the shit was about to go down with the parents arriving. Just as the officer begins to explain what he believes happened the bandana guy jumps in the middle of the conversation. Both the cops should have told him to wait and stepped away for a more private conversation.
So far that’s my 2 cents. I’m not a cop but I stayed in a Holiday…… you know, plus I have watched tons of RWP and so I think I’m a cop!

  2. What an idiot lady on the phone. So, so stupid!
Uncooperative, refusing EMT's? Sure, make it all their fault when they were the ones hurt, or trying to help. So if you don't need an ambulance you're less important? So, so maddeningly stupid.
God, people! It shouldn't have taken three damn calls for someone to bother to show up.
The guy who's being a "good citizen" seems like the argumentative, annoying type. Ugh.
The girls are 19. Why would they wait for their parents before talking to the police? That seems silly to me.
What a drunken mess this whole altercation was! I feel for the girls being assaulted by that guy, but I also think they weren't right following those people upstairs and into their room. You don't do that.
27:50. Here we go. I don't like this Derek guy, and that officer. He's right about needing to ask before you record someone, but I don't like how they handled him. Not sure what I didn't like. They didn't read him his rights or anything. Is that required every time you arrest someone?
Oh, and, saying you're going to call your mom in this petulent voice just makes you look and sound even more like a child.
37:10. Ugh. What a mess. That guy was beligerent–I agree, though I don't like this officer.
43:20. Wow. Ridiculous that the one guy has to tell this officer to get the phone away from the guy in the car. He should've known this. And Derek sounds like a sovereign citizen in the making–definitely the same attitude for one.

  3. This police officer is very strange. He stands like a statue in awkward places and he can be heard whispering to himself like he is practicing what he is gonna say next as he walks back and forth…lol

  4. At 27:50 minutes in the pig shows his true ignorance and incompetence in his sworn duties.
Another case were a stupid pig doesn't know the constitution or the supreme court's ruling on amendments.
Hay ignorant policy enforcers AKA cops it's the first amendment our right that any person may film or take pictures of any private or public areas as long as the footage is taking on public or your own private property.
I mean think about it pig if he has to tell you he's recording or taking pictures without permission and according to you that's illegal then why do you not tell them about your body camera ?

  5. If they would have done a 911 hang up with a scream cops would have came. Assault call we will be there sometime within the hour…… Remeber the cops will protect you, no need to protect yourself. In about an hour they haven't reviewed footage, even though the Asian guy saw it… We have to alleged assault victims we aren't going to talk too first, but gonna give a guy a ticket for recording.. I will say they did everything they could to keep from invesitgating the alleged assualt.

  6. Omg just sign the effing ticket!?! Shut up and sign it! Jesus if you would have shut the hell up in the first place this could have been avoided
