Boulder, Colorado — The Boulder Police Department shared body-camera footage of the rescue of a toddler who got her head stuck in a railing outside a home of an apartment complex. In the video, officers Stg. Martinez and Officer Kyle, can be seen using a battering ram to pry open the bars on the railing. About 15 seconds later, the toddler was freed. The child can then be seen returning to her mother for an embrace and the officers follow up with the child, asking her if she’s doing OK. The girl replies she does and the video ends with the toddler saying, “Thank you!”

  1. I remember getting stuck on the playground with my knee between a few bars of some contraption. A bigger kid (he was only 11 or 12 years old but I was only 4) ran over when he heard me screaming and helped to pull the bars apart a bit so I could get my knee out. As an adult I realize that the bars were really super pliable but in my kid mind I had literally just seen a super hero bend steel to save my life – I've always held on to that memory just because of how scared I was magnifying how shocked I was when I saw a real life super hero kid XD This kid probably felt like me that day. Same age range too 🙂

  2. just plain awesome. i remeber when i was 5 or 6 my leg fell through the top bunk bed railing that holds the mattress up and a cop had to come save me. police are cool!

  3. I remember I had my head stuck in the fence once when I was a kid but managed to pull myself out with all my might. Didn't even need to tell my parents nor anyone for that matter and nobody was around when it happened. Learned my lesson afterwards.

  4. can you imagine a world where this would be the only thing cops would ever be called for, instead of the reality we all live in now…smh

  5. Let he who has not got his head stuck somewhere it shouldn't be cast the first stone. For me it was a scuba flipper when I was a teen. And then the bars of a bedhead when I was in my twenties. So clearly I never learned. I didn't 'evaw nevaw evaw do dat again' as this little lass so aptly put it. 🙁

  6. I worked at an inner city grocery store that had real cops as security, they were always passing out those stickers to kids 🙂

  8. 1:13 oh look he gives these kids stickers and the other kids stitches. I think they deserve stickers the least you can do for killing theirs mom/dads/brothers/sisters in front of their eyes
