In these videos obtained by @fireandpolicevideos Markeda Rivera is shown taking an Albuquerque Police Officer’s police unit. She lead officers on a short pursuit around town before being taking into custody by officers.
Rivera has been accused of stealing cars from local dealerships and was attempting to steal a car from one before she car jacked the police cruiser. Dealership workers called the police and that is when the officer tried to detain Rivera.
She has prior felonies with assault with a deadly weapon, reckless driving, and aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer. She hit a group of people with her car in downtown Albuquerque.
The charges from this case are unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, aggravated battery upon a peace officer, battery upon a peace officer, criminal damage to property, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, leaving the scene of an accident, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Her case is pending trial in the state of New Mexico.

With all of the modern Cruisers being loaded with software I don't see why they don't have the Cruisers programmed to lock in park while the keys are in the ignition then when the officer comes back in they have to hit a button on the side of the seat or center console or a button right out in the open but a certain sequence to put the vehicle back in Drive this would take a fraction of a second and prevent all of these GTA wannabes. This would be very easy for The Big Three to do.
