Seattle police chase of carjacking suspect turned into a crash in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood Monday afternoon. Witnesses told police a man reportedly stole a car from a woman about 3 p.m. near North 44th Street and Woodland Park Ave North, hit the woman with her own car and sped off, leading to a police chase, according to Seattle police. Officers responded to the area and found the vehicle, which rammed two separate patrol cars during the case, reports say.

The stolen car then crashed in the area of North 68th Street and Dayton Avenue North – what it crashed into is unknown to police spokesmen so far. Police detained the driver at the scene and witnesses at the Fremont scene claimed the driver was the carjacker. The woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, North 68th Street was closed between Phinney Avenue North and Fremont Avenue North. Detectives continue to investigate the incident.

  1. I watch a lot of pursuits where the cops pussy foot around too much. Not these cops! The 2nd cop smashing into the carjacker was a nice touch!

  2. My opinion is that the driver is a little old lady, she drives by barely seeing over the steering wheel.

How else could someone drive so well (until the pole jumped out in front of her) around everything?… hahaha 😜

  3. Good police work, once again the mighty full frame Crown Vic let's the bad guy its all over, a perfect driver door shot between the pillars. I'll bet the officer finished the shift in the same car. Long Live My Crown Vic.

  4. I have always had a lot of respect for men and women of law enforcement but it has certainly doubled after seeing the kind of crap you have to put up with on a daily basis. God bless and keep you safe.
