Seattle police have released an in-car video that shows an officer on Sunday shooting a man authorities say was armed with knives. At 1:44 p.m. Sunday, officers went to the 1900 block of South Dearborn Street to a report of a suicidal man chasing his partner with a kitchen chopping knife out in front of their home. Officers arrived just three minutes later and contacted the victim. The suspect was no longer there. While officers were speaking to the victim, the suspect returned, armed with two kitchen knives and confronted the officers, police say. The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition on Monday. Police also released a photo of the knives that they say he was carrying and a knife that he allegedly threw at the person who called 911.

No I can't say that they was completely wrong but I do think police officers are quick to fire on someone carrying a knife I do understand it's dangerous that can kill someone hurt someone especially if they have already hurt someone with a knife or something you know what I mean but at the same time I think they want to fire at somebody with a knife they might say stop stop Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam and just start downloading you know they could have backed up a little bit tried to talk to him a little bit more at least give it a couple minutes there's no one else around that they can get to and hurt let me naked had mental problems there's just I don't know it's just crazy man but I'm not sitting in blaming the officers completely because at the same time they have to protect ourselves and the citizens but man we got to do better

Good, necessary. If they had a little more time I’d say with the 3 that ended up there they could of gotten a taser out and have 2 lethal ready- but she was sort of the primary officer on him and the other 2 back a bit and she took justified action that’s fine.
What's with the black circles over their face, the man wasn't moving fast, so why not just shoot once? Also, what officer handles the weapons w/o gloves?

Yikes! Glad the officers didn’t decide to try thier luck with “less lethal.†I understand the politics and not wanting to kill somebody, but some of the videos here show recklessness. This one, not so much.

I am going to look into the legality of opening a chain of humane suicide centers where people can come watch a movie or listen to music, have a great meal, and then take a dirtnap. That way our LEOs don't have to serve this function.
