A man who was shot by a police officer during a traffic stop allegedly had a gun at the time of the shooting, authorities announced Wednesday. Edmond Brown, Jr., 38, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by certain persons, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said. The incident occurred Oct. 29 around 9:40 a.m. on North Route 130 near Alabama Road in Haddon Township. Police allege Brown was operating a vehicle when an officer initiated a traffic stop. When the officer tried to identify the driver, Brown drove away and crashed into a parked car.
A “brief struggle” ensued between Brown and the officer, who shot Brown once in a “lower extremity.” Brown was taken to Cooper Medical Center where he was treated while under arrest. Brown was previously charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and eluding, assault by automobile, driving in an aggressive manner and violating probation. The officer was been placed on administrative leave and the investigation is ongoing. Brown is being held on $100,000 bail.

Extremely poor judgment of an officer to try to jump into a vehicle that’s driving off. The risk of injury is too great. Step back, get back into your vehicle and go after them.
If you were at work and had a job huh?????? Bro????
That pisses me off when people just stop their cars and gork…real sticky beaks.👀
That appears to have been an accidental discharge of the officer’s weapon.
This seems to happen more often than they would like to admit.
I bet this guy follows LeBron James who has a head like a basket ball, full of air.
poor other car crashed
BLM come on…
Daniel was a leader of a local “Black trump voters†group.
Why the cop did not shoot him I will never understand. After the crash. Boom
I'm confused didn't see a single shot?
I love how all these other idiots keep trying to drive through the scene 🙄
That dude is so dumb I bet the truck is stolen that’s why he tried to evade
What a dumb ass
Nj license plate makers: we need an idea to really represent this state. How about just making it look like it was peed on? It’s perfect.
damn shame cops aren't trained to take people down….they should be made to train jui jitsu twice or 3 times a week…
💙🇺🇸💙 Love you Blue 💙🇺🇸💙
must be a rookie
Attempting to seriously harm a police Officer doing his duty and whilst defending himself and trying to constrain him the gun goes off … deliberately or accidentally it is not the fault of the arresting officer .. who had every right to be amped up !
GOOD JOB OFFICER: This is the perfect example illustrating a real life police encounter that escalated to aggressive behavior from both individuals (who escalated it is not as important as the outcome) A single (white male) officer confronting a (black male) who is visibly larger than the officer and undoubtedly outweighs the officer by about 50 to 60lbs. Yet, the officer apprehended the citizen without the use of deadly force…by himself! Contrary to an encounter involving larger bodied officers vs smaller bodied citizens, or cases of 2 or more officers vs an unarmed citizen who they (chose) to shoot, murder, execute, or whatever narrative makes you comfortable with shooting unarmed citizens because you think cops should have that level of authority over the people living in a "Free Country" with civil liberties and protections. America is not a prison, and we are not cattle for the slaughter. So I hope this video and the hundreds of hours of footage like it changes your beliefs and passive attitudes about who and what constitutes fair, just and right methods of policing.
They just banned the chokehold.. good luck officers in this guy's situation at 3:37
I cant bweeeth offitha
0:08 those are some shiny handcuffs
That car that just went by lollll
(WWE "The Rock" theme starts playing)
Serious note though, glad the officer is ok👌
Back when i lived in California i was getting ready to clean my .44 magnum Desert Eagle when some tweaker out if the blue swung open my apartment door, charged in and grabbed the gun by the barrel and tried to take it from me. Guess what, when someone does that, you have no choice but to either pull the trigger or let him have it. Although the hammer was back and a loaded magazine was in the gun at the time (i was just finishing up some testing), there was no round in the chamber. Otherwise that guy would be dead. The point is, if you put someone holding a gun in a position where they have no choice but to lose the gun or pull the trigger, most of the time they will choose the later. And tough luck if they have it pointed at you for good reason when it happens. Pulling the trigger is a natural part of the gripping motion and inevitable to someone struggling to keep the gun in his hands.
How are they this stupid???? Unfuckingreal
Never physically engage with a suspect with your weapon drawn. Holster, then go hands-on. Or don't holster and wait for backup.
