Riverside County, California — On Saturday, November 12, 2022, about 3:30 PM, a deputy from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a male suspect on Carmen Avenue west of Rafael Street in Cabazon. The suspect, 38-year-old Wallis Kenneth Scott, was riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the street and known to have a felony arrest warrant for a violation of parole. Scott was uncooperative with the deputy and attempted to flee the scene on his bicycle. The deputy tried to detain Scott, but Scott removed a large knife from his pocket and a deputy involved shooting occurred. Scott was shot and fell to the ground. After Scott was shot, the deputy rendered aid and medical personnel were called. Paramedics from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the location and pronounced Scott deceased at the scene.

  1. Reminds me of that Indiana jones movie where the guy was waving a sword around and got it the same

  2. so he was shot why for riding a bike on the pavement when there was no traffic on the roads! what the fuck! wot a shite copper!

  3. At the moment police officer pulled the stick out, the other his knife and officer the gun and shoot, I laughed so hard, now I think I'm might have a mental problem

  4. I don't think shooting at the moment was the right thing to do. Sure he drew the knife, but multiple meters away from the officer. I think the cop could have kept a safe distance and kept talking with the man to defuse the situation, or wait for more officers in order to take the man down with less lethal force. The cop had legal reason to shoot the man, but he should have at least waited to see if he would approach before shooting.

  5. What was the point of the baton deployment here? He said he had a weapon so why not something with distance (spray/taser) or go for the gun right away?

The antichrist doesn't get scared by some pocket scepter.

  6. Sorry but you do t have to shoot & kill a man riding a bike on the wrong side of the road! Whatever happened to shooting a perp in the leg to tender him in able of stabbing you!

  7. You can tell a good cop from bad this cop was bad. He wanted this guy to pull a knife he wanted the you-tube hits and all the fame that goes with this after shooting someone down like a dog instead of de-escalating. This cop is looking for the bad ass reputation amongst his coworkers This did not have to be lethal. What happened to taser well before this guy pulled a knife. This cop is not someone to admire or look up too. Pathetic police work if you want to call it that.
