Firefighter Arrested for Impersonating Police Officer – Everything Law and Order Blog

Anthony Woods has the unenviable distinction of being the only firefighter on the Brady List maintained by the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial District of Florida. At the time of this incident, Woods was a firefighter with Orange County Fire Rescue.

According to a summary written by prosecutors, on December 12, 2021, the victim was exiting the 408 onto East Colonial Drive when, according to his statement, a Grey Hyundai cut him off. The victim continued to drive toward his original destination, but realized he was being followed by the vehicle that cut him off. The victim, fearing that he was being followed, took a different route to determine whether he was being followed. The Hyundai continued to follow the victim until the Hyundai maneuvered a in such a way to block the victim’s vehicle in the roadway. At that point, then-firefighter Anthony Woods exited his vehicle and walked toward the victim’s vehicle… with a black gun in his right hand.

Woods then stated “you almost hit me and I’m a police officer / firefighter.” The victim then drove away and called 911. At the exit/entrance of the neighborhood, Woods caught up to the victim and again parked his vehicle in front of the victim’s vehicle. Woods exited his vehicle again, overheard tje victim on the phone with 911, told the victim “don’t take my tag,” and returned to his vehicle to leave the scene. Woods is a firefighter. Woods also called 911 to report a reckless driver. Police interviewed Woods at Fire Station 87 where Woods initially stated that he and the victim got into a verbal argument due to the victim’s reckless driving. Woods stated that it was actually the victim who was following him. It was apparent to police that Woods was lying, and Woods ultimately changed his story and admitted to following the victim and to brandishing a gun when approaching the victim’s vehicle.

Woods was arrested on suspicion of falsely personating a law enforcement officer during the commission of a felony, as well as aggravated assault with a firearm. Prosecutors charged Woods with falsely personating an officer and improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon. As part of a plea deal, the former charge was dropped, and adjudication was withheld on the latter charge. Woods was sentenced to six months supervised probation, credit for time served, a required firearms safety course, and minor fines/fees. Woods resigned his position with Orange County Fire Rescue on December 21, 2021.

Prosecutor notes state that the victim feared that he would be shot, and that the victim had previously been in trouble with the law and had received significant penalties for that incident, and was consequently less inclined toward leniency for Mr. Woods. The victim ultimately told prosecutors that he believed in forgiveness, and that if Woods had apologized he wouldn’t have pressed charges — but that if he had had a gun it could have been an entirely different outcome. Court records indicate that in 2015, the victim in this case had been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a firearm. That charge was ultimately dropped. In 2020, the victim had been arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. He pleaded no contest and agreed to pay restitution.

  1. Sunnyvale, CA one as a public safety officer means that you are police officer, firefighter and EMS. You first go to the police academy and then will be sent to the fire academy.

  2. Like that officer said they are always hiring. If you want to role play a cop, just go to apply and become a legit one to play whatever you want 😂.

  3. I pray this dude is not a real firefighter, maybe a fireman in training. He is too immature to handle serious situations such as saving a life. WTH would you lie about being a cop?? Too much talking will always reveal the truth!

  4. Darn,😊 I like your videos!
You always make an amazing work.
    Thanks
PS. This guy isn't the smartest. He must be that notorious firefighter who named his kids HosA and HosB.

  5. Sad, they treated buddy like a little child when they were interrogating him….geeesh 🤦🏽‍♂️

  6. The only thing he’s concerned about is how to wriggle out of these charges to avoid facing any accountability

  7. Never never talk to the police!!!! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ if they have enough to arrest you they will! If not shut your mouth!!!

  8. 24:24 is what you’re looking for. BUSTED/REALIZES THEY KNOW HE LIED

PLEASE post all the police impersonation videos you find, they are my absolute FAVORITE! The shame, & shock just can’t be beat! 😂

  9. 100% think buddy was driving reckless, great lesson in minding your own business. Or just call the police and go about your day. Smh everything doesn’t need a reaction

  10. Well y’all basically summed up the entire video in the first 4 minutes making the rest of the video pointless to view. Gee, thanks

  11. Every time someone tells the cops or detectives "and that was it" or "and that's what happened" –chances are its bullshit! Police know better.

  12. He was in a car wreck? He broke his WHOLE arm!…pause…and he broke his WHOLE leg…pause…WTF is that? I was in a car wreck and I guess I collapsed my WHOLE lung, WHOLE arm, WHOLE foot, WHOLE ribs etc. My point is he's so dramatic and he talks too much. He should have stayed quiet! I believe him, that the other guy was reckless driving. However, you cannot pull a gun on someone. You just took complete control of this WHOLE person. Plus, wife, parents, children, etc. No one should abuse that power with a gun, just because you don't agree with his driving. (IMO)

  13. Yelp I’d say this guy career in the 🔥 service is over with and he won’t be able to apply for another FD he could still get a job at a ambulance service because they hire a criminals all the time

  14. Of course, the complainer is from LA, I used to live there, all they do is sue😂 if the firefighter wasnt such a talker, he could have gotten out of this, but he loved to keep his mouth running 😢

  15. Mr. Woods you know you done phucked up don’t you!😂 Your road rage and your ego just lost you your job as a 🔥 fighter. You should have let thAt G 37 go as fast as it wanted to you are NOT the Police
