It’s been a few weeks since I posted my “LAST MEAL” video but so far, my eating is better, my calisthenics are more consistent and my attendance to brazilian jiu jitsu class has been more regular.

All in all, things are progressing and I’m down from 224 to 213.

More updates to come I’m sure as I’m able. Thanks for watching and if you committed to some changes, how are you doing? Drop your updates in the comments!

  1. I hope you're training no gi (street) style. Practicing with gi I think should be practiced in case your opponents have hoodies n such. But if they're shirtless, you'll have a problem.

  2. I have been exercising for about 3 months and I've lost almost 20 pounds I'm pretty happy about that you can do it too just keep going don't stop and remember muscle weighs more so if you feel like you're not losing weight you are because your muscle weighs more and I'll look like you're not losing any just keep going

  3. Mike, there is nothing wrong with enjoying a beer or whiskey. Nothing wrong with needing one either. There will be days that are too horrific to be able to sleep without something to take the edge off. There is nothing wrong with that, just make a mental note to talk to a therapist or psychiatrist or counselor about anything that has you drinking for 2 days or more. Mental health is important as well as physical health, but mental health is a slight bit more important.

For weight, its all about energy in vs energy out. Each person is different when it comes to overall health, wish you luck.

  4. I'm proud of you, Mike. I thought I was in pretty good shape when I graduated the academy, and I let the stress and 2 hour round trip commute distract me. After my first foot pursuit, and not catching the guy :(, I realized I needed to pick it up. In the end, I just want to go home at the end of my shift, and hopefully live long past retirement. Again, thanks for humanizing the badge.

  5. Hey Mike, I hope all is well! I'm going into security and then going from that into the police academy in the next couple years. As a smaller male, I was thinking about getting into Jiu Jitsu, would you recommend it?

  6. Hello mike, in Tyler and I'm 16 and wanting to be a leo, but I have to encouragement or no urge to work out, do you have any tips on getting into shape without any encouragement or urg? Thanks

  7. Hey mike,i used to not be so pro law enforcement or really that supportive of it,but no longer does bias or one sided views and videos tip my own thoughts about it.Now 100% for all the law enforcement across this nation,so therefore i take back the wrong things said thus i do apologize but anyways i still try my best to show the support at times as well, when i know it is needed of course.I'm trying a similar fitness/diet thing, but my problem is that i go "extreme" with it. 🙂

  8. Gains day Mike! looks awesome.

I actually am training for the academy so it's awesome seeing your workout.

No Brazilian martial arts for me, all hei long sho shou and lifting with running. I feel you on the falling out on working out, it's easy if you let it happen.

    Good luck Mike!

  9. Good Job! I was going to start working out after watching your last video, but I forgot. Now after watching this video, I am worn out from all the working out you did. I am amazed that I can actually feel the burn!!! actually it is just my eyes burning from my wife pepper spraying me because I keep watching your videos on YouTube instead of doing stuff with her… She doesn't understand me… Stay Safe.
