G-Ride Fence Jumper – Hot Pursuit | Cops TV Show – Everything Law and Order Blog

Corporal Justin Laing and Officer Guillermo “”Willie”” Bermudez of the Fontana Police Department spot a stolen car listed on the department’s hot sheet. After a dangerous pursuit through a neighborhood, the driver crashes into a parked truck and flees from the vehicle. Corporal Laing gives chase and begins hopping fences, giving directional updates as he goes. Officer Willie Bermudez responds to the pursuit and arrives as several units chase the suspect into a backyard. The suspect makes it over one more fence and is taken into custody. The injured and winded suspect explains to Bermudez that he got the car from his friend, but can’t remember his full name. He claims he didn’t stop because he was trying to get home to his kid and wanted to “”avoid all of this””. Bermudez explains the charges to the suspect and suggests this might be a moment to change the path of the young man’s life.

COPS has been documenting police work for over three decades. This episode was filmed in 2017.

  1. Yeah. You can tell hes a rookie. And tryna act cool for the camera. 80 mph after a stop sign.within meer second hmm. ?? Wtf they driving over there? Ive got a ford edge sport 2 years old and im not even sure at that. Never been arrested or charged. Not biased. Just very curious??!!

  2. “We give our blood, sweat and tears to this job.” There would be less of that in a negative way if people like former assistant vice undersecretary of defense John Rogers and his daughter were held accountable and prevented from continuing to cause significant harm to law enforcement as well as military service members among others. They tangibly hurt a lot of people.
