LODI, Calif. – A Lodi California police officer is seen pulling a man off of railroad tracks seconds before a train is seen approaching and ultimately slamming into the mans disabled wheelchair.
According to Lodi Police, on Wednesday 08-12-20, Officer Urrea was on patrol near the railroad tracks when she noticed a man in a wheelchair who appeared to be stuck on the tracks. She also noticed that the railroad crossing arms started to come down and realized a train was fastly approaching.
The train is seen hitting the wheelchair at full speed and it throws the man and Officer Urrea back away from the trains path. Police said the man suffered a leg injury from the train impact and it that was tended to immediately by another responding officer who arrived on the scene. The 66-year-old male was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The Lodi Police Department said in a statement, “Officer Urrea risked her own life to save another, and her actions prevented a tragedy today. We are extremely proud of Officer Erika Urrea and her heroism.â€

Wow watching a life being saved is so emotional, police officers are seriously hero’s.
This is why women should not be in combat. They don’t have the muscles to drag dead weight easily. At least she was able to knock him over.
Jesus fuck, that guy had all the luck in the world that this cop was around.
Officer Urrea did a marvelous job!
I work for the railroad. We need more out there like you! Good job.
Poor guy just wanted to get killed by a train, instead had his legs smashed off by one. Great job society.
Wait did the train run his legs over?!?
Like in the movie! Wow 😮 Well done officer ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Praise God!!!!!
She is a hero! BUT I wonder if the man purposely left himself on the tracks to die since there isn’t any REAL right to die laws in the United States. So many decent people have to resort to brutal ways to end their lives WHEN THEY WISH TO because this country likes to watch people suffer, lose dignity, and grab as much money from them as they can.
What a heroic officer. I use a power wheelchair & would have died had I been stuck on RR tracks. This officer deserves a medal 🎖and thanks from all of us disabled citizens.
Someone get this officer a metal and a cookie!
I cannot even imagine how scared that poor man was literally hearing that train coming to kill him and he was saved just as he thought he was going to die. The cop was heroic 💪ðŸ¼
Suicide attempt? Either way that officer came just at the right time.
Well, she half way got em out of the way… Hope he was already numb down there..holy crap
"Female officer does half the job a male officer could have done."
Good thing he didnt have legs in the first place or they would have been severed!
The bright side.
Holy crap!!!
Looks like he lost his legs, eh seems like he didnt need them anyways.
Hero for saving his life yes. But this is a perfect reason women are not the same as man, if it was a male officer he would not have struggle in removing the elderly man from the track .
hero
Wow!
Wow came down to seconds great job Officer
She couldn’t pull him off the tracks dudes legs got chopped off
Everyone says the cops never do anything good. Officer Urrea showed heroism and courage in the true face of danger. Lets give credit where its due…….
Was there someone else there, just standing around watching???
Officer needs a heros award! Thats you officer!
Talk about perfect timing, Somebody made sure she was in the right place at the right time!
ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘😲 Holycow!😳 Horoic
💩ðŸ‘
Did his leg even make it?
That was close. Well Done !
Wow!!!! I hope he survived this it appears there are bad injuries ti his legs. Bless her heart
Great work officer urrea
[sits in awh with mouth wide open]… wow, that close.
THIS is where one of those "HERO'SWORK HERE" signs is appropriate! Not all the other places that they're popping up where people are just doing their normal jobs. HUGE KUDOS to the officer!!!! Thank you
Fast Trains Matter
If only the cop was male.
