Running from the cops rarely goes well for the person attempting to get away, but that ‘rarely’ approaches ‘never’ when a thermal-camera-equipped police helicopter is overhead.
In this video, watch from overhead as police close in on and arrest an auto theft hit and run suspect, conduct a water rescue, and assist fire at the scene of an industrial accident.

This might be a stupid question but I honestly don't know, how does this guy know all the streets and addresses?
I wish I could afford a badass thermal like that.
How much is the camera? Is it possible to buy to the public
Guys the flir is good because the helicopter is only 400m away. Those military videos are from like 2-6km away in some cases.
I saw him hidden behind the hot tub well before they found him and when they had lost him 4:16 just below the N of the compass. Maybe I should get this job 😂
I want this job. It is basically a videogame. Do those cameras give off radiation?
why is that camera higher definition than my eyes
That's some shoddy helicopter flying if the main purpose was to maintain eyes on… Pilot should have hovered rather than circle around.
6:01 holy shit that guy is fast as hell…
They caught him and the court gave him 6 months probation probably.
The quality is insane.
Great Camera, but why don't you just hover once you have suspect in view.
call of duty real life
that Flir cam has 100x better resolution than my Canon video camera… probably costs 100x more too
This camera is brighter than my future.
the way he was running I bet he was black
“Suspect located, splash one, splash one!†“Good kill.â€
Go find bigfoot now!…………………..
why don't they keep the helicopter stationary at around 2:47… there are long stretches where they couldn't see anything.
That tech is so cool!
Turn the K9s lose on this asswipe love to here him SCREAM!
