The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office has released dash-cam video from a police chase on St. Patrick’s Day in Pontiac. The deputy tried to pull over the 38-year-old West Bloomfield Man at Elizabeth Lake Rd. and Telegraph Rd. in Pontiac. The driver refused to stop and fled the scene.

Video from the deputy’s dash-cam shows him chase the pickup truck at a high rate of speed on Elizabeth Lake Rd. The driver then turns on Johnson St. and crashes hard into a utility pole, destroying his truck.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver sustained minor injuries and was wearing a seatbelt. He was taken to the hospital and released pending toxicology results.

The sheriff’s office said they will prepare a warrant for OWI (1st offense) and Fleeing & Eluding police before submitting it to the prosecutor’s office.

  1. That is why they actually discontinued that model of a Ford F150 due to the really bad crash ratings. Don’t ever buy one of those Ford F1 50s.

  2. Wait, according to the commercials a F-150 can pull two sides of a canyon together, but a single utility poll can take one out?! 😉
