This guy was as honest as the day is long. Everyone was respectful and what had to be done was done and discretion was at work to charge him the least amount possible. This is how it can work folks!

My smile is ear to ear right now.
This gentleman and these cops being so good to each other even though being opposing parties is truely heartwarming and a great example of how its done.
If this dude was a butt hole, the cops would have made his life miserable. Good job all the way around
See what happens when you don't resist??
I genuinely feel bad for him, and feel HUGE respect for the cops that were going to let the personal-use amount of drugs completely slide.
I don't like druggies, but the only thing the guy knew about was the weed. Likely his bro's Percocet.
Hope he's doing better now.
I think a lot of people can learn from this gentleman
Bunch of white cops arresting a black driver for legitimate causes… and there's no confrontation or police brutality here.
Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is how interracial relations SHOULD look. Everyone involved was respectful, honest, just doing their jobs.
Can we have this be the standard, please? Or will this get shoved into a corner somewhere because it doesn't fit the narrative haters are trying to promote?
Can we just NOT be racist, like these fine gentlemen? Please?
I'm surprised that he got a felony. They couldn't drop that to like a M1?
Imagine that, he was cordial and complied and the racist Nazi police didn't lynch him?
Someone tell me what makes this felony driving? Cause of the drugs?
Commenting for algorithm
I feel really bad for him. He seems like a really nice guy. I really hope everything works out for him.
Wow its amazing how police wont have to yell at you and take you out of your car when you well you know ACT NICE AND RESPECTFUL AND LISTEN INSTEAD OF FREAKING OUT…..wow crazy who could've guessed lol
This is awesome though seriously hope he gets everything in order and gets back on his feet
See how honesty and being respectful still gets you locked up 😂 could have been worse though that is how you should act when pulled over
He got lucky those other charges would have messed them up with what he's trying to do
this is what happens when you are honest and respectful, this could have been much worse for the man
Wait, someone had drugs and didnt get hurt?! This must be a universal studios cgi thing, this cant be real. I mean, he cooperated and did nothing wrong and didnt get hurt!
Why is this interaction so hard to comprehend for so many?
The way each side handled this was great. A man who's having trouble righting his ship owned his mistake and the cops helped him out. I pray the man finds the strength to right his life after this encounter.
If this guy were black, he'd be shot by now.
It’s amazing what happens when you cooperate and have no attitude. No attitude from the detainee, no attitude from the police! It is also amazing what the police can and will overlook if politeness is shown.
Kinda heartbreaking, no one wanted this dude to go to jail. I get that they had to take him, but man, sometimes the system makes it awfully hard to go straight. 5 years ago I'd have probably had a different take (maybe not) but now days with rioters and violent offenders not doing time, dude driving without a license getting hauled in seems harsh.
