I lived there for 30 yrs and it’s only gotten worse. They closed down American beach and all the hood moved to Jax beach. Now there’s trash and shootings all the time. Sad when you can’t go to the beach to enjoy yourself.
Jacksonville Beach is horrible. A total low class ghetto mess. My family has been here since the 1950's and this is sickening

I live in Ponte Vedra and have grown up in the Jacksonville area. It’s so cool to see Jax Beach again from 2000. A lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same. Had a lot of fun pausing the video over and over to look at the buildings

Cops would sit in the parking lot across from lynches Irish pub every weekend , watching them come out of pub, see who’s drunk, follow them to their car then bust them if they try driving drunk.
