  1. Update: In July 2023, Alea Weil was sentenced to 5 years in prison and her driver’s license will be suspended for 6 years. These sentences run concurrently, meaning her license will only be suspended for one year when she is out of prison. Trooper Adrian Wilson was able to recover from his injuries, but he unfortunately cannot continue his job as a police officer.

  2. I live in area and people drive like there is no speed limit, it’s scary. In Ohio if a car has there emergency lights on the side of the road you are supposed to move over the other lane but you don’t see people doing that either.

  3. These guys were all so good to eachother, you can tell they really care a lot about their fellow officers…. The fact that she’s gonna be out AND DRIVING AGAIN within this decade is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

  4. Ok, so what is your new President going to do about this? He is, after all, Pres tp the entire country. Justice system needs to be fixed, and it starts from the top. This person should be given the harshest penalty. She ended a man's career. Out with just a slap on the wrist. Trump has to start being a Pres. He can do a lot of good if he just stops worrying about himself, and starts acting for his people. I don't have much hope. His Justice system needs to be overhauled. Previous didn't do enough. Problem with him, he is only out for himself. Amazing, and perplexing, people bought his crap. Talk about gaslighting. You fools.

  5. How in the hell do you hit a flashing vehicle ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD!? OH, SHE'S ON DRUGS, SHOULD'VE HAD FAR WORSE SENTENCE THAN THIS!

  6. Well what can I said after see this video, officer been really lucky to survive this mess even he cannot come back to his job…hope local government won't forget him in his needs…happy second birthday officer…and thanks for your duty…

  7. 2 observations 1 seems the trooper was too nonchalant about situational awareness. , while i was never a officer i had a philly highway patrol sgt friend who retired chief inspector , and as a over 3.5 million mile commercial lite truck driver in 4 different states . i never stopped when necessary in the shoulder i always pulled as far off as possible i saw accidents too often
my main thing who in there right mind approved silver as a patrol car that's a color that blends into bright highways, light rain makes them invisible and unlike fl highway patrol who have car wide chevrons of orange and yellow across the rear. when i left PA they had a excellent single large strobe and stop and turn lights on roof it was the best system i ever saw of all police in my 54 yrs of driving clear concise and visible on for the longest i saw it also contained the siren/pa horn sad they switched away from them. some police amend her now have day and night mode but they too often run them on day all the time and it blinds drivers as they go passed even in opposite direction so makers need to wire them or put electric eyes .
the black and where explorers are poor since problem if departments don't use and rear reflective the markings used to be reflective but now penny pinchers don't even mark the exploders as police and the state plate in plain paint on municipal tags
read the update i was not surprised his career days are over glad though he made it and she got close to max. btw thats why road crews mostly use 30k dump trucks to pick up debris some times 2 so call for backup

  8. As a former EMT, I gasped so loud when I saw the dash cam. If I had witnessed it, I would have stayed and did a primary assessment once I could see the scene was somewhat safe. Since he was out of his patrol car, I would have made him my priority, I would have checked him over first while telling him who I was and that I was a former EMT in the state of NC. I would have called 911 and told them what all that happened. Furthermore, his status and alertness. I would have said that it from appearance, he may have a broken leg bone( telling them which leg, ect.) I would have then went and checked the other person carefully. Doing the same thing by telling them my name, ect. I would have taken note of the drug paraphernalia, and updated officers, deputies, ect once they arrived upon the scene. I would have been holding C-spine on the trooper, as I would have done a triage of the two. Again since he was out of his car, he would have been my priority. I would have kept him talking, as well as, checking his awareness every so many minutes. Once emergency personnel arrived on scene, I would have updated them on his status and last I had checked the other person. I would have volunteered to help if they needed it, explaining once again that I am a former EMT in the state of NC.
