On June 30, 2017 a Lakewood, Washington police officer was on routine patrol in a residential neighborhood when a white Toyota drove by him in the opposite direction. Noticing that the Toyota was speeding, the officer made a U-turn, intending to pull the vehicle over and write the driver a ticket. Instead, things got a lot more exciting.

Enjoy!

  1. If you know you have a warrant, or if you think you just might have one out on you…why the hell are you speeding in the first place, dude?
Just because you're a criminal doesn't mean you're dumb, so quit acting like it.

  2. Great job to that police officer. He was super patient, calm and respectful, even though that driver really wasn't making good choices and the outcome could have been far worse. We need more police like that man every where. Including here in my country of Canada. Awesome job sir. 👍👍😁😁😁

  3. This chase made my stomach turn into a cold knot. At some point the officer should have considered to abort the chase. In my opinion, by pursuing the chase he actually endangered the people around them. Imagine a child running out to see the police car in his neighborhood 😟
There is a big difference between a highway and a narrow streets lined with houses and yards..

  4. I didn't know that patrol car was turtle powered. I'm glad it was a run down 90s Toyota running and not anything newer.

  5. GHEESH!!! How long are these damn traffic lights… I feel sorry for the poor lady with the walker at 2:10… they went through all kinda of blocks and came back and she still waiting for the light to change at 3:40…. she should put a complaint in.. thats if she not still waiting…

  6. Toyota Corolla, not the best car choice to outrun the cops and yet…..the cop didn’t seem to have any sense of urgency

  7. Very very good on the cop for taking the chase professional and not personal and he was very careful in the populated areas 👍🏻👍🏻

  8. I love how EVERYONE wants to jump on that "I can't breath" bandwagon. It takes air over the vocal cords to make words. If you are able to make words, let alone full sentences, guess what, you can breath!!!

  9. Is it just me or I could be wrong because the audio seems to be a bit difficult to hear in this video. But that blonde cop that walks up says around the 23:46 mark 'Hey just to let you know that guy just passed away'…..
Then you can hear a bunch of crunching on the mic, like someone's covering it, then some whispering. Then the other officer keeps talking about the chase & how he would "only take pics if they we're dead". Because he can always come back & do that later. Then he proceeds to take pics of the car. I'm so curious now. I tried listening to it over & over, but the right audio seems to be lower than the left with headphones, so idk! Did anyone else hear that being said as well?

  10. I lived in Lakewood for a couple of years. A lot of nasty crime there. I was watching cops one night and they were on high speed chase, i recognized where they were about 2 blocks from me. Crazy shit

  11. All it takes is two seconds for a kid to walk out on the street, All for what maybe a week or two in jail and slap on the wrist ??? Nothing against cops but they let their adrenaline kick in and that's not worth human life
