Los Angeles, California — On August 17, 2022, at around 7:00 A.M., West Valley Patrol Division officers responded to a report of a man smoking narcotics and armed with a machete in the alley to the rear of a residence in the 17300 block of Sherman Way. Upon their arrival at scene, the officers located the suspect and ordered him to drop his machete. When the suspect refused, the officers broadcast a request for a back-up and followed him in their vehicle as he left the alley on a bicycle. The officers monitored the suspect as he rode through a residential neighborhood and were joined shortly thereafter by two Valley Traffic Division units.

The suspect ultimately returned to the alley where the officers originally contacted him. As the officers continued to follow behind the suspect, he abruptly dismounted his bicycle and confronted one of the officers, while holding the machete, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS). The suspect was struck by gunfire and taken into custody. He was subsequently transported by rescue ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The suspect was later identified as 24-year-old Christian Arriola Gomez, a resident of Los Angeles. Arriola’s machete was recovered at scene and will be booked as evidence.

  1. Does any one know if there is a term for that kind of moan when someone is dying? I'm not talking about death rattle, but rather the audible moan that is often heard when someone is circling the drain.

  2. Someone please invent a 'drop them to their knees' less than lethal.

Tazers, bean bags, sprays are a farce.

  3. A lone cactus cutter is seen wandering around a suburban neighborhood today in California. Far from the Mexican boarder wall, he was caught without his proper papers stating his birthrights to be there is hunted and executed as a reminder to others of American laws on immigration and trespassing violations. 30 million of them.

  4. That cop looks like he had A 5906 Smith service pistol. He’s been on the job probably as long as I’ve been alive 😆

  5. Man this is police officers are a bunch of cowards they always have to draw their gun and shoot like five rounds at one guy who wasn't even doing anything he just went up he should use the taser

  6. Rootin Tootin cops. Drive right up to him. And then when he comes an inch toward them… then they kill him. Fkrs. They didn’t need to end his life.

  7. BTW, 2 SHOTS POINT-BLANK!!
    I believe head and chest… And he's still able to walk/run 10+ mtrs/30+ feet!!
Double tap is not enough at short distance and 9mm hasn't got good direct man stopping power!
