On September 30, 2019, officers with the Las Cruces Police Department responded to call regarding a male in his late 20s. 911 callers reported that the male had approached a random vehicle in the roadway and attacked its driver with a knife. The driver managed to successfully wrestle the knife from the subject, who retreated back to his apartment.
When officers arrived, the male emerged from his apartment holding a beer and refusing to comply with officers’ commands, leading to a Taser deployment, arrest, and — like most police calls — lots of paperwork and waiting.

So…..if he wasn’t a VET….the comments would be way, way different.
There are no negative comments. Second amendment hell yeah! First amendment nope!
I hope this man gets the help he needs. I'm sad to hear another story where the military turns it back on someone who served just because of something like alcohol, which is almost always an external cry for help if it gets bad enough for them to have to discharge someone.
The military needs to have more open eyes and open minds. But sadly….we see how they handle it. I've experienced their "want to help".
Congrats on 1 mil
I just noticed the Star Wars Porg mounted on the inside divider window of that police cruiser.
Veterans should be given care and respect, but this dude's just a whiny little drunk, 4yrs, with a dishonorable discharge, and he thinks he's entitled anything he demands…i find it hard to believe he couldn't get help, i would believe his alcoholism has hampered any assistance he has been offered though.
We need to help our vets. Vote red!!!
Regardless of the status of his military discharge, they all are entitled to help who served the USA in the military.
So sad, our veterans suffer so much especially with what's in the White House now.
Poor bloke, really hope someone gives him the help he has been searching for.
I would like to know his outcome, after sentencing..
So SAD, after he served our country, for 4 years. He cry for help. this young man never could get help. Now, he can't even get a decent job. Our system needs to change. WAR ISN'T NO GAMES, THE THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO..SOME PEOPLE CAN'T DEAL WITH IT…NOW, HE BEEN TREAT IT LIKE A CRIMINAL…THE LAWS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT SEVER OUR COUNTRY, NEEDS TO CHANGE…..I HOPE THE Prosecutor gives him a break… Don't ruin his life!!! He is, very well respected to each and every of all those officers…. I hope the Judge and Prosecutor, see this 📹… GOD BLESS THIS YOUNG MAN ðŸ™ðŸ’™ðŸ¤™
Police should not be called to any mental health crisis
Stolen valour.
He’s an alcoholic. It’s pretty obvious.
Click bait. That's not a real vet.
The blur of the nurse after showing her face….?
Listen to the heavy Spanish-accented banter between the Trokiado bros with LCPD. Ese, por favor.
Definitely seems paranoid schizophrenic. So sad. I hope that he was able to get the help that he needs.
The fucking intro music 🤦ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸
He's gonna have even more issues after this traumatic night. I've seen violent felons treated betfer.
Wouldnt even let him finish his beer. Had to hurt the guy.
Poor guy, hope he gets his life under control
I feel sorry for everyone who becomes a police officer. They take so much crap off of everyone, then with the news maligning all of them all of the time, I'm surprised we have anyone left that can stand to deal with stuff coming from everywhere against them. This kid wants help, and they give him some help, and they are so nice to him and he is just hateful in return. I just couldn't do this on a daily basis at all.
I feel bad for him but he is the scary kind someone who will either self harm or harm someone else…i doubt he will ever recover.
Yes he did a crime deal with that later! Hes been crying for help FUCK hes a vet!
Yeah, we came across a guy cutting himself on a street corner during "national night out". Called the paramedics and followed them to the local hospital. I was able to spend some time speaking with him and it turned out he just wanted to go to jail for "a cot and three squares". I think he didn't want to hurt anyone else…
No!! The beer why did they spill the beer? ðŸº
The military doesn't kick you out for being an alcoholic. They kick you out if you refuse help and your alcoholism causes problems. They normally offer many avenues for help, through ADAPT, mental health, etc. I think there is more to this story. I hope that he gets the help that he needs.
He was just desperate. Hope he got the help he is entitled to. The help he is owed.
This video just made me sad. Sad he got tasered sad the police armed up the way they did. Everything just culminated in a sad situation. I'm glad no one died.
Great editing! Love that you did the conversations in "real time" from the cams of the participants.
Do you ever consider blurring the faces of the people involved. It’s a little shitty filing a FOIA and putting videos of people’s worst days on the internet for the world to see. I feel like this is one degree away from those mugshot websites.
Veterans commit suicide at an alarming rate, thank you officer’s for sparing his life.
Prayers he gets the help
he needs. God Bless you All!
Honorable or dishonorable- shouldn’t matter- they deserve help.
This is 2 years old wonder why it’s in my feed now??🙄
What a place to be a nurse. The crap she must have seen and heard.
Was that a taser cam??
Since when did it become colleges responsibility to take care of your mental health. And before you start, I have three kids with masters and doctorate degrees. We dealt our major crap (And we had a lot of crap) ourselves. That guy has plenty of options to help him.
Wonder how well a social worker would have done, considering that's what everyone wants lol
Shameful that we don't take care of mental health for our military.
SICK and tired of hearing the being a veteran as an excuse for jacked up behavior!!!!!!!!!! Coming from a veteran! The military is fairly good at getting rid of dirtbags like that one. They always have an excuse for messed-up behavior.
Can we please have a moment of introspective silence for that defenceless beer that perished during this incident?
No reason to taser him other than the cops are pussies!
Too bad these cops weren't dispatched to Daniel Shaver.
I thought this was another Jeremy DeWitt video.
I do not mind these videos, but most are longer than a feature length film at a cinema
This is our mental health system now. This country is in a mental health crisis. This is how we deal with it. We used to have mental health programs and facilities. Now they just cycle through the legal system over and over and over.
Im Sorry this guy's life has turned out the way it has and yes it is all on him. But with that said he needs help and regardless of what we all think the solution should be in the end it's help and we can all agree that is a good thing.
We have inspired hope Vice President Harris would support defunding the terrorist organization called POLICE, in favor of the prayers of the American people…
Police don't work for the American people, police actually work for the state at the expense of the American people…. If people only knew the truth….
QUALIFIED IMMUNITY MUST BE ABROGATED FROM POLICE IN ALL STATES, ONLY ALTERNATIVE IS TO FULLY DEFUND…
