  1. Former Fire Lieutenant here. The officer made this rescue even more dangerous, and his actions were totally unnecessary. He should have simply left it to the fire department who are better equipped, trained, and experienced for such rescues.

  2. That's my brother in law who had to go up and get them. He's retired now. Gene McMullen. So to understand why they had to go get them, blame lawyers. Once the fire department is on scene, if anything happens to them, they are heald responsible. Because of lawyers. If one sprains their knee climbing down, an attorney would sue the fire department and win. Lawyers are to blame for much of the nonsense we see, and higher costs.
