Former Fire Lieutenant here. The officer made this rescue even more dangerous, and his actions were totally unnecessary. He should have simply left it to the fire department who are better equipped, trained, and experienced for such rescues.
Doesn't paint actually help the tower from getting rusty , cop says don't threaten me with a good time after dark I'm trained and I'm going up
The parents of those delinquents are going to be thrilled to get the bill for this rescue. And if these kids don't already have a criminal record, they do now.
That's my brother in law who had to go up and get them. He's retired now. Gene McMullen. So to understand why they had to go get them, blame lawyers. Once the fire department is on scene, if anything happens to them, they are heald responsible. Because of lawyers. If one sprains their knee climbing down, an attorney would sue the fire department and win. Lawyers are to blame for much of the nonsense we see, and higher costs.
How old were those boys? Those boys are tall!

Those boys parents are responsible for everything financial but the Judge should order that they pay their parents back when they get jobs within 30 days after turning 18.
