In late-2019 the Little Rock Police Department finished a trial of body-worn cameras. One of the participating officers was Officer Cole Reppond, who is behind the camera in this footage of a traffic stop… that turned up a .25 caliber pistol in the center console of the stopped vehicle.

It had a filed-off serial number.

Watch as the subject beats the odds, and somehow manages to walk away from the stop a free man.

Note: the Gun Control Act of 1968 requires that all newly manufactured firearms produced by licensed manufacturers in the United States or imported into the United States bear a number. That number is a “serial number,” not a “VIN number.”

  1. ‘I ain’t tryna go to jail .. I’ll help yaa …’ and you know what the rest of that statement was right .. he trailed off but he was bout to come out with names of anyone who did dirt in his vicinity let alone in front of him lmaoooo …

  2. He doesn’t know whose gun it is but he knows it’s jammed. Expired registration. Expired insurance. Defaced weapon. Warrant. He should be thanking God every day of his life for the break he got.

  3. Some gangbanger legit probably threw that gun out when the round was stuck in it. Probably said fuck it I got nicer ones.

  4. Holy shit I want to buy this cop a drink what a fucking nice guy. If he's mad at you, you know you've really fucked up. He shouldn't have cut himself off: I reckon he and his partner there ARE the best and nicest cops that dude could have pull him over.

  5. Home boy was anticipating some serious problems when the officer came back after the search. That’s a shame but totally by instinct. So I thought it was really cool to see this officer and his partner go out of there way to make sure and drive the point home that they aren’t out there to jam folks up on fine print. Our officer was more concerned about the lack of tread on his spare tire! This should be a totally typical interaction on a traffic stop. But unfortunately today’s police have a lot of making up to do with the public, but this is a damn good start. And it doesn’t take much effort just to show folks some respect. Well done to all involved!

  6. Who does the ten pounds of coke belong to ? Oh no, sir..that's not mine, I swear to Jesus ! It's okay, man, you're still fine..I'm just gonna give you a warning and send you on your way. Oh, who's AK 47 is this ? Oh no, sir..not mine, I swear on my kids ! No worries, bro, you're still fine, I'm just gonna give you a warning…

  7. That human being of a police officer was righteous, respectful, and professional. Respect to that man who wasn’t trying to see another person get caught up in the system. He said he had no weapons, and don’t you need a permit to carry? That’s a tough decision for an officer. If that guy turned out to be lying and was involved in some sort of violent crimes That decision would haunt him forever. That’s why usually real recognize real. Which makes it even more of a great deed. Well done officer! I’m sure some of you’re fellow boys in blue disagree with this call.
