She claimed there was mail in her trunk with his address on it, plus all her jewelry was inside. The officers never checked on her claims, which would have revealed who was lying.

I do get what she's saying tho. My address on my license is my parents address and my mail gets sent there even tho I don't live there. I have been in a few really abusive relationships and it was safer to have my mail sent to their house. I will say I haven't been in a situation like this but I understand what she meant.
