This video provides a comprehensive overview of the evidence in the September 23, 2018 DWI arrest of Los Lunas Police Department Sergeant Michael Romero.

I have been investigating Romero’s arrest for nearly two months and have uncovered evidence indicating that Romero may have committed another crime in addition to DWI.

In a forthcoming video I will present the evidence in support of that claim and will also provide an update on Romero’s criminal case, which has taken a couple of interesting turns.

Now, a bit more about this video. First, as you may have noticed the footage of Romero’s field sobriety tests was not captured on body-worn camera (“BWC”). Nothing nefarious is going on there; the arresting officer’s department simply does not have them.

The arresting officer did have an audio recorder, though, and what it captured is of particular interest as it was recorded separately from – and runs much longer than – the field sobriety test footage. That recording captures Romero’s breathalyzer tests along with many conversations between Romero and his arresting officer, such as Romero’s statement that he can always get a job working security at Walmart, and his inquiry about whether his police chief had been called.

A note about the FST footage not having been captured on BWC: this video is a reminder of the fact that not all departments have BWCs. In fact, research published in April 2018 by the Police Executive Research Forum found that nearly two-thirds of American law enforcement agencies don’t have BWCs on any of their officers. In what I believe to be good news, the same study found that half of those departments had plans to equip some or all of their officers with BWCs.

  1. Every time the police get caught for DUI they act like the sobriety test is something new, it's literally the same test they make other civilians do ,now all of a sudden they need the instructions told to them repeatedly 🙄

  2. How is it that you have to show this numbnuts how to do a sobriety test when they out here doing this crap for a living? I think they just playing stupid

  3. Driver: Can I call home, my son is home alone.

Officer: how old is you're son?

    Driver: 11

Officer : and he's home by himself???? 😕
His inner thoughts: while your ass is out here driving under the influence!!, award for father of the year goes to,……wait for it…….➡️ 🤡

  4. You know your to drunk, when you call 911 on yourself. Karma at its finest. If he would of just called a tow truck he would of been on his way and maybe struck an innocent family. So in the end he was doing his job as an officer and protected the citizens by calling on himself.

  5. Son at home, has to call wife …

    Going to meet some woman..
Real winner of person, yet a cop…
Super drunk on top of that…ok then!

  6. I love these videos. I do wonder how many are let go, still doing the good ol boy thing. 😅😅😅😅😅 This fool. Be concerned about your job before you dui!
