Raleigh, North Carolina — On May 7, at approximately 1:20 p.m.., a Raleigh Police Department officer observed an individual in the parking lot of the Southeast District police station, lighting multiple vehicles on fire. The individual was later identified as Reuel Rodriguez Nunez (37 years old). Nunez was using incendiary weapons, more commonly known as Molotov cocktails. The officer immediately requested additional assistance. Once other officers arrived, commands were given to Nunez to stop his actions.
Nunez continued to throw multiple Molotov cocktails in the parking lot and eventually threw one in the direction of an officer. Four officers discharged their weapons and Nunez was struck multiple times. No officers were injured during the encounter. Due to two vehicles being engulfed in flames (an RPD patrol car and another vehicle), the officers moved the individual away from the area and attempted life-saving efforts on-scene before he was transported to the hospital where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

Night night sweet prince.
Excellent work by the police.
In a way, the dead guy is fortunate. There's plenty of fire where he was dispatched to.
This was only ever going to end one way. Should have been dropped after the first one. This chaotic behavior we are being subjected to these days needs to be checked and made as an example to other dumb asses that seem to be in abundance in these times.

Man america is a great country isn't?
Not really
I was grinning like a Cheshire cat. "do it, do it, do it….give me the go ahead" "Hands mutha fucka" The suspect was very happy because he knew he found some cops that were going to grant him suicide by cop and not lose any sleep over it. Synergy man.
I'm so sorry our police have to go through this! Our police deserverespect and 4 times amount of money
Well they can confirm the suspect was not a former athlete based on those throws.
i mean when mainstream news is glorifying ukranians making and using them why should this even be surprising
Police should be trained not to escalate by taunting and baiting people as if its a school yard fight.
Whoever is monitoring this cameras should be fired.
I see a few things the Officers did wrong. First, the Officer parked on the highway should have used his patrol car to block traffic to keep them out of the line of fire. Second, the Officers shouldn't have been yelling at the suspect to "do it". Third and most importantly, the Officers should have stopped the suspect sooner.
My one criticism is that one of the officers says “go ahead motherf**ker do it, do it†that’s for sure isn’t de escalation
Fun fact just making a Molotov cocktail is a violation of the national firearms act because it is an unregistered explosive device… Therefore every single one of those before he even threw them was a full blown felony. If someone doesn't believe me you can look up what happened to that lawyer in New York who was one of the Antifa types and they nailed her ass for making Molotov cocktails which she threw at police cars.
When it comes to immediate Karma, the US police force is hit or miss.
This was a definite hit.
I’m pro cop but telling a mentally ill suspect to “do it†is not the best course of action.
Wahhh the cops are bad so I'm going to go engage in activities that prove that we not only need cops but they are good. Very smart indeed.
Problem solved @4:50
Took them a whole lot of time to shoot him. Too much mercy.
He was a good boy just going to church and raising his kids
And this was the response time at the police station. This is why I will always have a firearm.
