25. French Quarter Festival is nothing like Mardi Gras and is near the river! You'd love it! Bourbon Street is only one small part of anything related to Mardi Gras…that's a HUGE misconception via the media. Carnival Season is January 6 – Mardi Gras day….and is totally fun in most other parts of the city (along the parade routes)….enjoy it! Next year the main parading is between late February and first few days of March. 😀

28. Im planning a trip to New Orleans. There is no way in hell I would go during Mardi Gras or any festival.

    I celebrate mardi great responsibly not like getting smashed or taking off clothes either not my kinda fun.
    I'm glad there are police there to stop fights and stop indescent exposure in cetain areas.
