On January 15, 2015 a tanker truck carrying a full load of fuel oil overturned in rural south Texas. Involved in the subsequent insanity were the 18-wheel tractor semitrailer, two pick-up trucks (one of which was carrying oxyacetylene tanks), and a van.

Although the semi driver made it out (just barely), five others were less lucky. The incident occurred within the heart of the Eagle Ford Shale oil and gas boom in Dimmit County, Texas, which according to the Texas Department of Public Safety had experienced a significant increase in traffic accidents since 2008 when Eagle Ford Shale started to take off.

  1. the truck driving the on the other side of the road was running full lights blinding to most. also the road speed was set at 65MPH with the fact that the lights we see were not mounted on the bottom of the truck the only thing drivers could see. you have blinding light hiding a bottom of a truck and 4 seconds max to react to it at 65mph. with a stopping distance of 45 feet at best of times. i dont blame the drives for not seeing it.

  2. I would have been the car making a desperate lunge off the shoulder and into the wilderness, before ramming an overturned tanker truck full of gasoline.

  3. Why did the first cop that was already there park RIGHT in front of the fire? I'll be everything was melted.

  4. Thank God I've never seen such a horrible accident in reality and I hope I never will see such a tragedy! It breaks my heart for these people who have died in this tragedy and also for their families and friends! May God will give them a good place in heaven and may God help their relatives in this sad times and during the healing process, Amen! Rest in peace and harmony with everyone in heaven, Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏lovely greetings from Sarah 💔🙏💔🙏💔🙏💔🙏💔🙏
