I think people underestimate how bad the taser hurts. I've been tased twice and it's by far the worst 5 seconds of pain I've ever felt, and I've had half a finger cut off and had a complete pectoral tear. The taser is absolutely brutal, especially if you have a muscular build

I remember drivers ed, a police officer came in and jokingly asked if anyone wants to get tased, I raised my hand, and he looked at me like I was crazy. Watching this video, I'm glad he didn't actually tase me.

All joking aside, I'm sure it's not fun. And I think it's good that many officers take a tazer themselves to ensure that they know what theyre about to do to another before deploying it. I know I'm a little curious as to what it feels like, and if I carried one by virtue of my job I'd want to know what it feels like just so I wouldn't be in a rush to use it unless I had to.
