  1. PHOENIX (AP) — A federal judge has ruled that an Arizona law limiting how close people can get to recording law enforcement is unconstitutional, citing infringement against a clearly established right to film police doing their jobs.

The ruling Friday from U.S. District Judge John J. Tuchi permanently blocks enforcement of the law that he suspended last year.

  2. Good luck, The state will have to prove intent and all a person recording has to do is remain quiet and film if an officer approaches remain quiet, Then when you get to court you tell them your intent was to just document the interaction and you are good.

  3. The problem is that it's subjective and not objective. What's to stop an officer from saying they were harassed because a citizen asked a question that they didn't like? I just see it as ripe for abuse. And we already have a disorderly conduct law on the books so why do first responders need extra protections? If you can't handle dealing with the public while you're in uniform then maybe try a different career path.

  4. You can record all you want, no one is telling you not to do it, but there’s a line. There are some individuals who like to antagonize officers to get a reaction. Cursing them out, saying things that are disrespectful about them and family. Getting in peoples faces that’s just bottom line harassment. Stalking!! Officers also need to have a thick skin and don’t fall for their stuff. Just perform your duties and that’s it. Great job guys.

  5. It will be declared unconstitutional, it is a waste of taxpayers' money. It will be abused like cops do everything else. People are not showing up when you are eating lunch, stop making shit up. Now you are whining because people you arrested are mean to your cops, oh wah… stfu.

  6. Boooo. This law is unamerican and you’re a hypocrite if you say you support it and the constitution. It’ll backfire on cops. Arresting people for filming is going to make Americans hate cops even more and further prove that you’re tyrants. Maybe instead of making a bad law to protect cry baby cops, focus on solving police corruption and the reasons why citizens are frustrated at cops. An oath keeping police force the serves the public and doesn’t harass good citizens wouldn’t need a 14 ft law. The desire to have this law just shows how far your tyranny has gone and how the “us vs them” mentality has taken over cop culture. Cops are the problem, not people with cameras.

  7. False narrative. This won’t be abused at all. You guys are sheep.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety

  8. At the 4:00 mark this bill say you can not say anything to a officer why they are doing their job. Once again the Supreme Court have say you have a right to speak your mind as long as you do not threaten said officer or the public. Florida government need to put some though into the bill they pass. This is the same state that have told police officer who have gotten into trouble in their home state to come there and because officer. We don't care what you have done in the pass. We got your back. I can see the many lawsuit that Florida will be paying out because of this illegal bill. I bet you money also the guy in the green shirt is a former officer. Because what he is say will have him breaking into the jail house. This can be a great bill to have both people who is against and for to debate on. This video is one sided. Just like listen to Fox News, you will learn nothing if you not willing to listen to the pros and cons of both side of the coin.

  9. lmao did they say harassment?!?!?! stop omg they out there slamming folks around and want to be left alone to do it. Buddy said auditors instigate things….nobody threatens during a audit lmao! you interact with them and they record you which makes the ego of most cops go crazy because they want to violate rights in private while they pretend the body cam broke or evidence control cant find videos or edit them all together from body cams. Babysitters are those with cameras reminding cops do your job properly you no longer can lie to make cases. This guy is a baby….people with fire arms and QA are soooooo bullied…. when they can beat anyone and simply say they did it for ignorance of law so they get a slap on the wrist. First they ruled they dont have to protect us, so now we cant protect ourselves with recording closely not to miss vital details in police corruption????

Feelings police at its finest. They never once say camera out let me just do my job???? lol TELL ME ONE TIME A CAMERA MAN ON SCENE HURT A COP 🤣

  10. Let take the case of what happen in the George Floyd case. Those people was recording what was happening with Floyd. They was trying to stop the police from killing that man. With this bill they can be arrested for trying to stop police from doing something that can kill a man before he can have his day in court. Is this what that law is doing? The Asian officer is in jail because he did nothing to stop that officer from applying a choke hold on Floyd. This law was not needed. It does not protect the police at all. Those auditors may get under the officers skin, but how many of them goes hands on with officers? This law can not trump Supreme Court ruling where they say if you are pulled over by a cop you have a right to record them. This law is saying you and the people in your car have no rights to record their own stop as it is written.

  11. It's not "harassment" to video cops by citizens exercising their 1st Amendment Rights.

This is why people don't respect cops anymore.

  12. Biggest pussies on the planet need a special law to protect their egos from mean words. Police make their jobs stressful and dangerous because they can’t control their emotions. Police make every situation more dangerous for the public not less. Green shirt is definitely being cheated on by his wife.

  13. Don’t get mad, get educated. 14’ away you can still record, 1st amendment isn’t absolute, there’s plenty of case law to prove that. Come record, make sure your government is doing what it’s supposed to be doing, I don’t have a problem with that. It’s all the extra that’s unnecessary

  14. Well, you guys are really ignorant. If you think that's what the law is, you have a right to record cops acting in the capacity of their duty.
So why don't they have laws protecting people like Britney Spears? Miley Cyrus from paparazzi. Hanging out on the corner with the camera in their hand what they don't equate to the same kind of quality of life as a lame tyrant cop and people like you

  15. Spoken like a true tyrant. This bill will be struck down like it was in Arizona and Colorado. Get a bunch of cops together and violating our rights is the result. " I want a supervisor who is going to back me up". Says it all.

  16. So people practicing their constitutional rights are agitators huh? Where do you think you live North Korea?

  17. The police know what these people with cameras are trying to do and that they exist….why do they continually react to them and give them what they want? If you leave them alone, the content they make is boring, so no one will watch it, and they will cease to exist. The auditors rights have been clearly established.if you cant handle verbal harassment you dont have your ego or emotions in check enough to be a cop and carry a gun.

  18. I find it funny how officers that aren’t corrupt don’t mind the public recording them. They get exposed as soon as they try to violate these auditors rights and that’s the problem. Officers need to uphold the constitution they pledged to protect.

  19. So feelings are laws now. What a discrace im not from the USA and i wish we had as much freedom as you AND YOU ARE FIGHTING TO HAVE THOSE RIGHTS TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU 😂😂😂

  20. This will never pass and it’s a stupid point of view, you signed up to be an officer, being recorded will be part of the job.

  21. FOH the police are the ones walking up to the people with the camera. That bill is to support their "officer safety" tyrannical actions because the lawsuits are piling up and their losing… Although, we the taxpayers are the ones who's really losing with the payouts for their escalations none the less.

If a cop punches me, they're gonna have to sponge him up.

The irony, the police are the only ones that wanna make it home, like I don't 🤦. Back the blue until it happens to you.

Dude you sound like a boot licker 😂

  22. They tried to pass a bill like that in Arizona twice and it was struck down twice as unconstitutional, even after Doug Ducey signed it into law, it was appealed and struck down twice

  23. I have zero problems w/people who record cops doing their thing. I have a BIG problem w/people interjecting themselves into what’s happening, cussing out the cop and generally harassing them to see if they can get some reaction. When the latter happens these so called auditors need to get locked up. These brave, tough people would never talk that way to a complete stranger.
