Nice Day For A Jog, Officer Justin Raphael, COPS TV SHOW – Everything Law and Order Blog

http://www.cops.com
Officer Justin Raphael of the Portland Police Bureau stops a Honda Civic for no front license plate and failure to use turn signals. The driver of the Civic immediately exits the vehicle. Officer Raphael commands the driver to get back into the vehicle. The driver disobeys Officer Raphael’s commands and takes off running… in a straight line, down a long straight street. While running the suspect has a dark object in his hand and is reaching at his waistband. Officer Raphael believes the fleeing driver is holding a gun. Suspect runs out of gas and lays on the asphalt. The driver has no gun only a warrant. He is put into a vehicle and driven back the initial traffic stop. Officer Raphael talks with the suspect about his meth habit and imparts some words of wisdom before he is taken to jail.

  1. Okay Cops has been good about showing what Portland PB is like every day. They are so calm and cool with everyone. Itโ€™s because of great training, retention, and selecting the right people for the job. They are what other LEOs should emulate. Shout out to my cityโ€™s police! You guys and gals are the best and are greatly appreciated. Iโ€™ve been out in protests and you guys have been awesome to us. Iโ€™m sorry that some idiots sneak among us and start s**t. Itโ€™s not those of us that are there for the cause. You all know that itโ€™s just the jerks that only want to use our protests as a means to break stuff and cause trouble. Bean bag and CS those pieces of ๐Ÿ’ฉ for those of us that peacefully protest on yours and our streets. ๐Ÿค˜

  2. Great example of a cop; non-judgmental but professional, and the guy running seems like a good dude who's just lost his way. Wish them both the best.

  3. Meth just seems so addictive and debilitating. I always wonder why people get addicted to drugs knowing that it never turns out well.

  4. You got to comply with what the cops say anyway because they're the ones trying to answer the call your your trying to be crazy and you're and when they have to use their judgments to to figure out what's wrong you're not going to win all the time and I I want you to know that because I want to be a cop but my husband Richard and me want to tell you something it's not always easy because there's bad guys and there's good guys and if you want to be on our team you got to be with the good guys so try your hardest okay

  5. No, he went to the ground by your lies about him reaching into his wasteband lol he was afraid he was going to get shot by your lies over the radio. Haha

  6. I love seeing Portland cops on here! We have so many amazing officers in our city that deal with such crap from city government that make their difficult job so much harder.
