@CopsConsTV obtained body worn camera footage of an incident that involved an off-duty Chaves County lieutenant being pulled over by Dexter Police Department in the late hours of the morning.
Lt. Joel Ramirez was driving the wrong way on a highway in a remote area in the early hours of the morning. Dexter PD called Chaves County Sheriff’s office in and then turned over the case to Roswell PD to avoid conflict of interest.
Ramirez refused the breath test and a blood draw was submitted. He resigned from his position a few weeks after his arrest.

Do American cops do the sobriety test on every driver or do they put them on the breatho straight away sometimes? In Australia they just chuck us on the breatho and we are off if we blow under .05 (for full license drivers).

First of all the thing that I see is he's telling him not to left and right and granted he's doing that but that officer needs to move his finger a little bit slower so it doesn't cause him to do that he's moving his finger way too fast that would make anybody switch their eyes fast! I swear some of these police officers do not know how to do conduct these tests!

Most cops refuse the breath test, so I'm thinking refusing works out better in the long run..I don't drink or anything, but if I did I would refuse that test too after watching this.

I've never understood how a cop who has probably seen countless horrible accidents and deaths that are the result of drunk driving, not to mention has arrested tons of people people for DUI, then gets in a car and drives drunk. Personally, I think cops should be punished more severely than a citizen because they REALLY should know better (I mean everyone should know better but cops have seen personally the dead bodies in the road that are the result).
