On 7/15/18 while on routine patrol Oklahoma City Police Officer Hayden Barnes noticed a white Cadillac Escalade bearing the license plate “CHURCH NOT FOR HIRE.”
It turned out that the driver’s name was Church, and subsequent requests for his license and insurance revealed to Barnes that he had found a Sovereign Citizen. Not sure whether “Church” was the hilarious type or the ‘guns blazing’ type Barnes called for backup.
Fortunately for everyone involved, Bryan Arnett Jackson (his ‘government name’) was of the “peaceful denialist” SovCit variety. They sound something like this:
“I’m not a Sovereign Citizen. They are cray cray… Also, I don’t have a driver’s license or insurance and the VIN number is not MISSING from my Escalade. It’s actually not NECESSARY. You see, I am not conducting commerce, so these thi–” âž¡ JAIL.
Jackson insisted that he would clear his name in court, and later publicly stated that he intended to represent himself at his felony trial. Something significant must have happened, however, because Jackson seems to have accepted that the United States of America Corporation may have joinder over his person after all. Or at least he accepted that he was facing a lengthy jail sentence.
Oklahoma City court records show that Jackson filed a “Pro Se Motion to Dismiss” on 9/13/18, but that the court appointed him a public defender one week later. After a continuance, on 12/20/18 a miracle-worker attorney by the name of John Martino managed to convince Jackson to accept a favorable plea deal.
On that date the following docket entry was made:
JUDGE SAVAGE [Ed. Note: Epic name!]: DEFT APPEARS IN PERSON WITH COUNSEL JOHN F. MARTINO. THE STATE IS PRESENT. THE DEFT ENTERS A PLEA OF GUILTY AND IS TO PAY FIINE ONLY. CT 1 AMENED TO DRIVING W/O A LICENSE. NO PROBATION. VEHICLE TO BE RELEASED BACK TO DEFT. THE DEFT IS TO PAY $100 FINE, $50 VCA,AND COURT COSTS. ALL COSTS DUE INSTANTER. COURT REPORTER WAIVED. ANY BOND NOT IN FORFEITURE IS TO BE EXONERATED. COMMITMENT ISSUED.
Driving without a license vs. felony VIN tampering? Good choice. Even if the judge didn’t have his oath of office on file or whatever.
I won’t tell your friends that you pled guilty.
Background info: Court records show that Jackson had received Oklahoma City traffic tickets on three previous occasions. Despite each citation being relatively minor, Jackson managed to not show up in court every single time, leading to the issuance of a warrant for his arrest in 1997, 2010, and 2011. Dude…. come on.

The two laws that he's mentioned, Title 47 and Title 68-701 of Oklahoma law don't say anything about not requiring a driver's license or not needing tags on a license plate or anything. In fact, Title 47 section 1-108 of Oklahoma Law pretty much says anyone driving any type of vehicle needs a license to drive it and it doesn't matter whether they're conducting commerce or not. Nowhere in Title 47 of Oklahoma law does it say that a person does not need tags for any reason. Title 68-701 is a bunch of definitions, none of which state that a person has a "right to travel" or doesn't need insurance. So, where does he get the idea that Oklahoma law says what he says when it clearly does not? Also, he has all the markings on his car of a sovereign citizen yet he says he's not one of them. I think this man is just deranged, albeit in a pleasant and polite manner.

How did he pay for his Escalade? He does not work? If he works, how does he get paid? There's no vin on the car, did he remove the vin? I believe that's a felony. I've seen a few videos on Sovereign people and most aren't driving Escalades. I find it agrivating when people like this go out of their way to read into every law that has ever been wrote and "twist" it to their liking. Granted, I'm sure we have laws that need updated, but to completely go against every single law they don't like. I feel that if people want to act this way, they shouldn't be allowed to shop in our stores, eat at our restaurants, get gas at our gas stations, period. Also, they should have to either walk or ride a bike, not operate a motor vehicle on our state kept roads.

These sovereignfree citizens traffic stops are entertaining, but again, how do these people fall for this insane ideology. According to Oklahoma Statute 68-701, "person" includes "natural person," and a "motor vehicle" is any automobile or truck. And it says nothing about having a right to travel. So he quoted the very statute that says he's wrong.
This is a Right to Travel person, similar but different than the Sovereign Citizens.
If you want to be a Driver/Operator you need a License. These Sovereign citizens already said this and know it. No where in the definition of traveling does it say you need to be a driver or even be in a vehicle to travel. You can walk, run, swim, fly, hitch hike. They say they know the law, but can't figure out that to drive you have to have a license. You can't have your cake and eat it to. Just in fantasy land.

you cant be a sovereign and a citizen at the same time. a sovereign is self governing, a citizen is a corporate employee subject to corporate rules. common law = intend no harm, loss or injury. a sovereign is subject to the law, a citizen is subject to the law and government corporate policy and legislation. legislation is not law. there's a massive difference between legal and lawful.

Dam I just received my registration for my 2020 Rockwood 5th wheel. The bill is $400.00 for a trailer that may only be traveling on the road 25 days out of the year. When I tow it behind my 2013 Ford F-250 Diesel truck I’m traveling to a campground where I pay the state $45.00 a night to stay. So I think I’m getting double fucked. Thanks Gov Newsome you twerp
