Algebra update: The guy claims that he went from 29″ to 37″ tires. That’s an increase of 1.276 times. If his speedometer read 65, an approximation of his actual speed should be 1.276 * 65, or 82.9 miles per hour.

he could be telling the truth about his speedometer saying 65 with those huge wheels and tires… when you change the wheel size the speedometer does not adjust. in my truck my spedo says im going 45 and im almost going 60 because of bigger wheels and tires lol
The truck wasnt doin anywhere near 100mph.. maybe 10 over.. at least from what I can see from the video.. he wasnt flyin past anybody.. 30 over would have been obviously noticeable on the video..

0:30 I am curious how that truck managed to hit 98 MPH with two lanes of traffic?? its a 55 MPH zone that everyone is driving at about 65 MPH and its fairly congested… how do you go from 65 to 98 with all that traffic around you, especially when you have a giant dually truck?? seems like the cops if just making up a BS speed…

Real World Police: In your caption at the start you write 98 mph, but if you listen real close the trooper actually says 82 which matches your calculation! The background radio chatter from another officer says the number 9 right as our trooper here is saying 82. And I can't believe a dude puts bigger wheels/tires on his truck and doesn't know that will change his speedometer calibration.

The camera angle makes it look like the officer's car is angled to the left slightly while it's moving.
