Puppy in the Car, Sergeant Robert Vega, COPS TV SHOW – Everything Law and Order Blog

http://www.cops.com

While on patrol, Sergeant Robert Vega of the Colton Police Department, stumbles upon a man and woman late at night rummaging through a dumpster at a new construction site. Sgt. Vega recognizes the female due to prior run-ins with her and her friends. Upon searching the male suspect, Sgt. Vega finds drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession. The male suspect states he just found the items. When Sgt. Vega does an exterior search of the female suspect’s vehicle, he discovers that there are two dogs inside of the vehicle along with meth in the interior of the car door. The female suspect pleads to Sgt. Vega to not be arrested since she does not want to abandon her dogs. Sgt. Vega detains the couple but simply writes them a citation and lets them go so the dogs do not end up in a shelter.

  1. Not smart. That cop didn’t help those dogs, these people will keep doing crime and the dogs will now get taken when they’re older and harder to rehome. The woman didn’t say she’d stop, she said she’d stop doing it at night and he still let her go

  2. Simple personal possesion of a drug should always only be a citation at the most anyway. Drug users are already using drugs because something is wrong in their life, no sense in making it worse. We need actual rehabilitation programs in place for addicts and not just throwing them in jail/prison.

  3. If you’re planning on using meth or heroin, get a cute puppy. It’s the equivalent of a get out of jail card from Monopoly.

  4. Thank you for giving them a break for the puppy sake you have a good heart and hopefully you never see them people again and they take good care of their puppies cuz a lot of dogs in this world need homes a lot of them get put down cuz their time runs out and they have to be humanely euthanized and that sucks for those little guys so I commend you for having a good heart

  5. This officer has a loving heart ❤️! I pray for them to get the help they need 🙏🏼hopefully they are better now , thank you officer for understanding!

  6. Great Cop 👏🏻 thank you for taking the dogs into consideration!!!!! He even said he isn’t a huge dog guy. The dogs didn’t appear to be abused but she was being a bad dog parent for sure.

  7. thats how police should be , good persons , good humans , the crackhead is save just beacuse the cop was nice about the doggys

  8. "i'm not a gushy dog person" he says after clearly being thrilled to be involved with a case involving puppies, and turning over a meth head so the dogs can have a good life. i hope she did the right thing

  9. Great Cop,,, He doesn't even like dogs that much but still gives them all a break. This woman better straighten up , she won't get another chance. She needs to egt away from losers first of all. Get some lady and the dude. Prying for you all. just 12 step it….

  10. Can someone who knows this show well help me out? Lol I’m looking for a hilarious clip these cops were chasing these two guys on a scooter or moped and they crashed and it was the funniest thing ever, I’m desperately looking lol
