San Antonio, Texas — The San Antonio Police Department released footage from an officer-involved shooting that occurred June 3, 2021 in the 2300 block of Castroville Road. Officers were dispatched to a Family Dollar at 2319 Castroville Road after an individual made two calls to 911 reporting that a male was standing outside the Family Dollar and had threatened the caller with a gun and a long knife. When officers arrived, they contacted the male, identified as 18-year-old Kolton Chavez, whom the caller described.
Chavez dropped a backpack on the ground before pulling out a large knife from his waistband and turning toward the officers. Chavez then started to advance toward officers as they backed up while making several attempts to deescalate the situation. Chavez did not comply with officers’ requests to drop his knife. Chavez then charged at the officers, prompting three officers to open fire. Chavez was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. It was later determined by investigators that Chavez was the one who made the two calls to 911 describing himself to the call taker.

Didn't have to consent to watching this guy must have been white
He was trying to get a suicide by cop or survive with a lawsuit, a lot of these idiots do it sadly.
"Shoot to disarm" my ass they will continue to come at them even if they shoot them in the leg
Is this dispatch high? Wtf lol
12 more shots after he was already going down. How about trying 1-2 and reassessing ?
No…. I am your caller. NOOOOO
Rookie PA viewer: "Why did the suspect suddenly become blurry?"
Veteran PA viewer: "That's the 'I'm not alive anymore' blur."
Guess he was drinking liquid courage.
The cops filled that dude with at least 50 rounds..think that was a bit overkill?
Police start shooting,a suspect got Jack pot🤣
justified
It's a possibility he's dead.
Again…WTF is up with these dispatchers? Maybe they should be trained to actually LISTEN as well as ask questions. How many times she gonna interrupt and ask questions that he has already answered, sometimes twice?
What time is dinner, honey? I’ll be home in just a minute.
Put it down! They helped him put it down, awesome job!
