This woman most likely receives both Food Stamps and financial assistance ( since she has a child). Unfortunately that cash assistance she gets to buy DIAPERS goes directly to booze & drugs every month. She most likely gets ADDITIONAL cash by SELLING her food stamp card( with the pin).
I think if mothers end up feeling the need to steal diapers, and there are individuals with enough wealth to buy a yacht as casually as most of us buy a sandwich, it's a good sign that there's a problem with our society
I always look for the "silver lining" at least she has resources to help her and I bet some good citizens set up a Gofund me for her. Anyway, Fred Meyers are jerks for busting her for diapers. IMO

Personally, if I worked security at the store where she stole the diapers, I'd let it slide rather than calling the cops on her. I might even let her keep the diapers.
