Deputy Scott McCall observes a moped occupied two times that has a faulty tail light. He pulls the moped over, and the driver has a suspicious reason behind the path he is taking to his destination. He claims that he recently bought the moped, but after a few questions, he backtracks and says he’s actually just test riding it. The ignition is punched and there’s a paper “dealer tag” from Texas on the back. The female passenger, who’s sporting an ankle monitor, is acting odd and admits that she has a warrant. The driver tells a backup deputy that his car was recently stolen by a man named Hercules, so he purchased the scooter out of necessity for a cheap form of transportation. McCall runs the VIN on the scooter and confirms that it is stolen. The driver claims that he did not know it was stolen, saying that he bought it from a friend. McCall arrests the man on misdemeanor possession of stolen property. The passenger has a warrant through another agency, but she’s released. McCall has a conversation with the driver about the tell-tale signs of a stolen moped, and they both agree that he made a bad judgment call buying it.

  1. I myself have seen plenty of scooters and motorcycles that didn't have ignitions that were not stolen it's not uncommon for that but it does like look suspicious as hell but sometimes when you ain't got money a screwdriver is what you got 😂

  2. I don’t think the person that buys the stolen property should catch a charge unless the state can prove 100% that he openly knew it was stolen

  3. Sedgwick County Sheriff's are awesome LEO's. I've grown up with them. Wichita cops are tougher to deal with, but we have great law enforcement here. ❤

  4. I've owned several theft recoveries with punched ignitions. My 1st Vette had to be started with needle-nosed pliers, but I had the title from Allstate. It had been stolen and sat in a chopshop for years because they never could start it. Shop got raided and it went to auction.

  5. Thanks for the cops video. The editing kind of ruins the video. I get it as being a teaser but it takes away from the suspense of the episode. And I’d also suggest keeping the commentary until the end of the episode. Obviously my opinion doesn’t mean shit but if you see other people saying the same thing then maybe consider this advice.

  6. I don't know specifically about that county or that state but there are some places where in order to be convicted of the stolen vehicle you have to know that it was stolen. So by them asking about the suspicion and all that he's making statements admitting that he knew it was likely stolen.

  7. Have you guys noticed that the entire promo video for the new season has not a single b lack person and none of the episodes they're putting out have b lack people… Not really a fair representation of crime but I guess there's some super protected people that you can't say anything bad about.

  8. Who in there sane mind would buy a car or anything that acquire a title if they dont have the title just homeless or methhead so they could live in. They still go sell it on offer up stupid people for real.
