POPE COUNTY, AR — On July 16, 2020 at 11:04 PM Arkansas State Police Corporal Chad Maness was stopped on the eastbound shoulder of Interstate 40, at mile marker 87, when he observed a motorcycle pass by at a high rate of speed, passing vehicles on both the inside and outside traffic lanes. Corporal Maness attempted to stop the motorcyclist for speeding and reckless driving but the rider fled eastbound, reaching speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour.

The motorcyclist continued to flee eastbound, passing several vehicles on the shoulder. Maness pursued the motorcycle eastbound on Interstate 40, through Pope county, Conway County, Faulkner County, and into Pulaski County — where the motorcycle ran out of gas at mile marker 144. After running out of gas, the driver stopped on the shoulder and submitted to arrest. The driver was identified as Christopher Smith.

Smith was arrested on charges of felony fleeing by vehicle, reckless driving, driving on a suspended driver’s license, speeding, no proof of insurance, driving without tags, improper lane usage, and improper passing on right. Ultimately, charges were filed for felony fleeing and reckless driving. Smith had warrants out of Yell County, Farmington County, and Cleburne County, but none of the departments would extradite.

  1. Still ignorant to chase unless it's a felony… the trooper just wants his adrenaline fix… He had no real idea how fast the bike was going when it passed him….

  2. Oh my god, I love how the cop sits there and talks about him on the phone as if he isn’t even there😂😂😂

  3. Biker when caught: "Wat? Dis nein und Autobaun?"
Police: "Hmmm…You license is from Arkansas and your name is Rodney Graham. Try again."

  4. When I was a teenager it was Crown Victorias and Grand Furys with huge light bars and anemic sub 200HP engines that were lucky to do 115mph on a good day. Not much of a challenge to loose them. Now a days you’ve got a very good chance of being caught with 150mph Chargers roaming the highways!

  5. This guy is the worst rider I've ever seen in a police chase. Can't corner, can't accelerate, looked like he almost dropped the bike before they dragged him off… this guy shouldn't be on a bike at all.

  6. Everybody talking about how fast that bike will run dont know shit. It could be geared lower also its dark as fuck an anyone who's been over 170mph can attest those are not ideal conditions. He might not have been a great rider but he was smart enough not to exceed his abilities.

  7. Cop : I don’t know what his problem is

R1 : His problem is he won’t take me out of 4th gear!!!!! I’m NOT A GROM!

  8. Again first mistake your supposed to never stay on the highway you gotta dip quick an fyi for anyone who runs at night like myself install a headlight kill switch stand it up in back wheel an pooof your gone in thin air.

  9. Guys when you run it's very simple I've done it my whole life. You must always never stay straight go right left right left an hit corners fast you'll always outrun radio. Last time outran the bird I ran to airport. Florida sheriff will try to kill u. So its you or them drop gear disappear

  10. Dude…you just made this cop chase you for 30 minutes going over 100 mph and you're going to ask if he could be a little more "understanding"? In what world would that happen dumba$$🙄

  11. When the supervisor said "Do what you need to do" over the radio, I thought he was gonna ram the bike going 130mph. Wouldn't be surprised given the reputation ASP has on this channel.

  12. These Cops put everyone’s lives at risk Chasing people at the speed for a speeding violation

  13. Sergeant, the law clearly states that I don't have to stop for any officer while I'm riding on my motorcycle unless they have flashing orange & lavender lights and carry a pepper ball gun. Did u not read Florida Statue 970 Sergeant??

  14. Overheard by a friend on a ride along:
Arrestee: Can you loosen the handcuffs?
Friend/officer: That's the inconveniences of being under arrest.
Arrestee in the bathroom: Can you take these off so I can wipe myself?
Friend: Asked and answered. Should have pooped before committing your felonies.
    Everyone arrested wants padded cuffs.
