Stockton, California — On February 4, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Officers responded to the 1600 block of E Bianchi Rd on a report of a domestic violence incident involving a knife. The victim advised that her boyfriend was armed with multiple knives. One caller stated that the victim approached their apartment asking for help and appeared to have sustained multiple severe lacerations to her head and hand. Another caller advised that the victim was running through the complex yelling that he was trying to kill her. Officers arrived and located the suspect, 32-year-old Jaspreet Singh in the parking lot of the complex still armed with a knife.
Two officers drew their firearms while another officer had a less-than-lethal shotgun. Singh did not comply with the officers’ numerous commands to drop the knife. Singh disregarded commands and advanced toward the officers. One officer discharged his firearm, striking Singh. Singh still refused to drop the knife. Officers resorted to a lower level of force by deploying a taser and a shield to safely take him into custody and render aid. Medical staff were on scene and transported Singh to an area hospital where he is in critical condition. Officers located the female victim who sustained multiple severe stab wounds. She was also transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition. A sergeant on scene sustained a moderate injury to his knee while taking the suspect into custody.

Cops need better training
What I don't get here is that one officer had a beanbag ( less lethal ) pointed right at him! From what I can hear he never fired! only lethal fired. Suspect did not RUN or lunged at the officers only moved towards somewhat slowly so why did the officer with less lethal not fire first ? instead what you can see is that as soon as the suspect moved lethal rounds were fired.
NOTE: There is At least 3 officers on site 2 with lethal and 1 with non lethal.

Dear dispatcher, you're awful. Also police departments need a mental health unit. Because even if someone didn't get stabbed they still would have shot him. It's the same story every time when they call for help for a loved one(or sometimes themselves) during a mental health episode and it gets them killed.. I'm not really speaking of this situation. But in general they don't know how to even engage these people. They show up to the scene like there's some sort of normal suspect who's just going to listen to commands. Really helpful with a million officers screaming… If they weren't going to drop the knife for the girlfriend what in the world makes them think that a bunch of random men screaming at them with guns is going to make it happen.. I don't get it honestly. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸ The one officer is trying to talk while the other one keeps yelling repeatedly that he's going to shoot him… Insane training on these situations and I'd love to know who came up with the line to say, "Drop it or we're going to shoot you… we just want to help you. I'ma shoot chu."
Cool. But again I'm not really talking about this particular situation it's just an ongoing trend I noticed whenever they show up to a mental health episode call in pretty much every Police department across the Nation. With the exception of those few where I wish those police departments would train all the other ones..
Dispatchers being required to do ride a longs and perform an arrest or two would improve their response integrity.

I am the official windshield wiper observer in all of the Police Activity videos on YouTube. The wiper is active in the police vehicle as seen towards the end of this video. It is set on the lowest auto speed available.
By the way this video makes it seem I mean idk if it’s the case or not but did the first dispatcher not send a unit or was the second caller calling at the same time she’s on the phone with the dispatcher? Cause the way they make it seem is first call had ended then someone else called THEN they finally send units… doesn’t look too good for the first dispatcher… the one cop too needs to take a step back he literally has no de-escalation skills at all… I’m pretty sure the guy was well aware you’re going to shoot him let the other cop actually try to de-escalate and stop yelling you’re rage over him lol

Dispatcher sounds annoyed
One cop is trying to calmly de-escalate and the other one is screaming that he's going to shoot him. You dudes need to get on the same page and let only one cop talk.
The cop that shot him was hungry for a kill. Talking over other officers who were trying to negotiate.
He only had blood on his mind, not so bad in this situation but you can tell he is hard-wired with some inner psychotic tendencies.
One thing I don't understand.
They agreed to someone take "less lethal" yet the officer who was filming gave no chance for the less lethal to be deployed.
Also. When you are in cover, multiple officers aiming, The suspect clearly "only" has a knife. Why do these officers are not shooting at the legs of the suspect immobilizing it?
