Streetsboro police are investigating a Sunday evening pursuit involving officers and a man fleeing from a traffic stop that lasted almost 15 minutes.

Police Lt. Tricia Wain said the chase began at about 7:20 p.m. near state Route 43 and Frost Road.

“The pursuit sort of looped around and ended in Camelot Village, which is a trailer park near Frost Road,” Wain said.

At some point in the chase, the fleeing man — who was driving a white 2003 Ford Ranger — struck a residential light pole. Shortly afterward, he stopped his vehicle in the trailer park and led a brief foot chase. He escaped, but he left his vehicle behind.

Wain said the vehicle has been impounded and police are investigating leads regarding who the suspect might be.

Witnesses reported the chase reached very high speeds, but Wain said preliminary reports indicate the chase probably didn’t exceed 60 or so miles per hour.

  1. My idea of a trailer park is now completely distorted. Hollywood makes trailer park looks like utter trash. This place does not look that bad. It actually looks freaking decent.

  2. Just like everyone else, I had that suspicion that the fleeing suspects "homing instinct", would lead to a mobile home park. Go figure??

  3. I was very curious as to how this guy was going to get away given the type of vehicle and other factors.

Then I read the video description and eeeeeeverything made sense. FEMALE COP

  4. The Ranger didn't get away, the cops managed to steal that. It was the person they were trying to abduct so they could abuse and rape them who got away, and I'm glad they got away. But someone needs to rescue the poor Ranger from the corrupt and sadistic cops.

  5. With all that trailer trash living in the pursuit area, he obviously had some help. With trailer trash you don't even have to know them and they will let you in if the cops are chasing you because they think you might have some meth on ya and youll smoke a bowl with them. Good trailer trash will sneak back around though after you get them high and get your truck for you while the cops are running around trying to find you still.

  6. Well that is just a sad PD that lets a Ford Ranger get away. LOL. I loved the fake out at 3:30 cutting across the gore point and losing one cop. I guess that was a good indication of how it was going to end.

  7. i was very confused how he got away in that truck, but then it makes sense at the end of the video….. fuckin trailer parks, he probably lives there
