Antelope broke a window in a room where Church/School staff were present. Antelope was confronted by the principal and Antelope tried to chase him. 1. Why in the fuck did that first officer let him get so close? This defund the police, and bail reform in California is going to have some massive repercussions soon.

  2. They’re always so “bad ass” until they hit with a few bullet. 😂

  3. Absolute failure. Didn’t close his door, didn’t deploy tazer or pepper spray, no shields no nothing. Police are SEVERELY lacking in defensive tactics against knives. Your job is to be the guy that can control situations not escalate them to deadly force immediately.

  4. I’m from Mariposa. You’d be surprised how many dimwits on the MCSD Facebook page have commented the Deputy should have wounded him in the arm or leg, shot the knife out of his hand, or used a taser. The amount of stupid out there is astonishing. I’m grateful our Deputies are safe. We have a great Sheriff in a long line of great Sheriffs. This man had only been in our community about a year. Supposedly he just had a bad breakup with a girl. Actions have consequences. He earned his. Kudos to the Principal and school staff. Mariposa Strong.

  5. Judging by the suspects demeanor and breathing (sounded almost as if he was preparing himself to be shot), I believe this was a suicide by cop once they arrived. My heart goes out to the officers, principle and everyone affected by this selfish act.

  6. Excellent outcome. My main complaint applies to the majority of California police officers. They need to be much more liberal in quickly neutralizing the millions of criminals roaming the streets of CA.

  7. Waited way too long there – if the suspect was a bit more aggressive that could have been bad when the officer backed into the cruiser. Also, the second cop should not have been trying to juggle his phone and his gun.

  8. Look, I know the cop didn't want to kill him, but seriously, he let that guy get waaaaay too close to him. If you're going to become a cop, you have to be prepared to defend yourself, your fellow officers, and civilians from criminals with deadly force if necessary.

  9. These officers need better training.
How it is allowed to get that close with a blade in its hands is beyond belief.
Stop talking, get on that trigger.
These officers should be removed from service and put through training again.
