I feel the officer handled this really well. Issued many verbal commands, kept dispatch updated in the heat of the moment, stayed calm, maintained enough distance to give some time to attempt deescalation. Fired only when absolutely necessary. Fired minimum required rounds. Really, really impressive self control while facing off with an attempted murderer!
Notice he was polite and not crazy anymore after he got shot. He was lucky only one round hit his chest.
