Officer Michael Winslow of the Cincinnati (OH) Police Department is on evening patrol when he stops a motorist for not having his lights on. The two occupants are asked to present identification. While confirming ID’s the passenger escapes on foot and a chase takes place with the officer tasering the man who as it turns out has a felony warrant and is taken into custody. The driver is cited for no taillights and is released.

I find it ironic that there is a Michael Winslow that’s a cop considering that Michael Winslow (not this guy, the actor) starred in police academy.

Bullshit, If you run you get tased. You never know who your dealing with.
This was NOT overdoing it with the taser. I think it's a perfectly fine use of the taser. Guy didn't listen, guy kept running, jumped off the balcony… then yeah, why not use the taser! He even warned him and he still didn't stop. That means the guy wanted to be tased!
@MrCSSlover yeah. A lot of the deputies in my county don't like using the taser every time someone runs or something of the sorts. It's traditional tackle and cuff. None of this tasing crap. Taser is truly necessary if someone has a knife or some sort of weapon. If not, than there is no need to use it.
