A Citgo gas station erupted in chaos on a cold Wisconsin night after two masked men rushed inside with guns. The clerk, Saeed Sharwani, panicked when the intruders began waving their firearms and demanding money. He was shot at point-blank range after grabbing one of the robbers. Waukesha investigators used the surveillance footage to identify the two suspects and tracked them down in just 10 hours, arresting Darrin Malone and Kenneth Thomas. In addition to the main suspect, two accomplices faced legal consequences for their roles in this crime. Jerica Cotton entered a guilty plea in February to a modified charge of armed robbery. She received an eight-year prison sentence in April, followed by 10 years of extended supervision. That same month, Darrin Malone was sentenced after a jury found him guilty of one count of felony murder in February. He was ordered to serve 25 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision, with credit for the 421 days he had already spent in custody.
